  1. good idea bud
  2. ...please folks are there any alternatives to the hard thin water coolant pipes running off the tubs as i got a couple of pinholes and thought there maybe something less likely to pinhole in the future also when struggling to remove the blasted egr nut on the passenger tub manifold (so i could blank it off) some swarf dropped into the manifold...what can i flush / clean with (carb cleaner...WD40...plus gas?)..i guess a few particles may find their way into the tub but dont want to bugger the tub by using the wrong cleaning method i thank you chris
  3. many many thanks guys...great days work i owe you both loads done i bow down to your superior expertise and know how ...thanks again and hi to carl aka nutter who came over for a look good to see you mate regards chris

  6. used it yesterday....very good stuff easy peasy to use covers very well helps if you can get the car up high and if your on your back for this i recommend a mask or you'll be rust proofing your tongue ...i did all the relevent bits under the car and still have almost half a can left :D
  7. found these under the front of my NA :hyper: anyone know what ones they are?
  8. Well i have now had the pleasure of driving both TT's & NA's as an owner and can honestly say the NA is bloody great as well :hyper:....different in the way it pulls you about but i really like it...it still shoves you back in your seat and gives a really involved driving experience...i'm pleasently surprised so any TT owners on here thinking NA's are the poor brother of the TT you better go drive one :)
  9. holy repost batman....:D i posted that bling up last year i think...still they are worth viewing again just for the sheer awfulness
  10. tbh i got a £20 trolly as well to jack high enough for the bottle avoids using the sill jack as you say....as to the bottle well its so old and knocked about all the markings and stickers are lost to the human eye :wack: but have a look here

drylining & developer of commercial / residential property...i guess he'll be selling it on 6 months what with the current climate :wack::rofl: still i'd rather have the GT400 in my sig pic anyday...much cooler and classic in all the right ways
  12. try this it works for me....use the std car jack from the sill once its up enough push under a 10 or 20 ton bottle jack to the centre jacking point ....effortless can jack it with one finger and it goes very high....i found trolly jacks move a lot and can pull sometimes rather than push owing to the angle of lift if you know what i mean
  13. its worth noting if they an IFA give you bad advice you have redress and they have indeminty insurance to cover claims for bad advice....if you do it yourself you have no such protection unless you fancy suing yourself :wack::rofl:

  20. they (Tan Hill) are in a national park IIRC
  21. its been mooted a few times on here but for my money its gonna be mare-ish if you dont live in / near a built up area like london, brum etc as there are sod all LPG pumps around the rest of the UK.....a guy on BBC news just a week or so ago said lots of LPG customers sold up their motors in the west country because of supply issues
  22. my friend just got his R8 over the weekend nice in black...might get a lift this week if i'm good :D

  25. if its none of the above (with your levels dropping low) have you noticed any fogging / humidity in the cabin or on windscreen when you park up after a drive (bit difficult now the weather is better) if so could be your matrix on the way out
