worst woman driver
ever....maybe? a lady got 8 years for this little stunt shame she's done a bunk still its nice to see the police got their (wo)man in the end...good bit of detective work from the boys in blue...its all there...foriegn embassies...ebay..fleeing abroad...crimewatch...a dead man in the thames...its like a crime novel http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8058152.stm An Georgian embassy official fatally injured a cyclist in a hit-and-run crash before her 4x4 car was sold on eBay, a court heard today. Natela Grinina, 34, knocked down Thomas Sippel-Dau, 54, while behind the wheel of her Range Rover in Cromwell Road, south Kensington, on the evening of 11 March 2005, Woolwich crown court was told. Opening the case, Brendan Kelly QC, prosecuting, said: "It is the prosecution's case that Natela Grinina was the driver of that car on that occasion and that having been the driver of that car she left the scene. As you will hear over the following two weeks, she has done all within her power to avoid blame and her conviction for this particular act." The court was told how witnesses described seeing a Range Rover travelling at 40-50mph in the 30mph zone, swerving from one side of the road to another. Sippel-Dau, a computer services manager at Imperial College London, who was travelling home to west Kensington, was thrown 30 metres on impact. A postmortem examination found he had suffered a severe head injury. The court heard that after a Crimewatch appeal in June 2005, a car dealer in Leicester who bought and sold vehicles on the internet contacted police to say he had purchased the "leftovers" of a blue Range Rover that had been delivered to him. During the police investigation, the janitor of Grinina's block in Gloucester Square, near Paddington, recalled seeing two women in a damaged blue Range Rover "limping" into the complex one night, the jury was told. He remembered later seeing the Range Rover as it was placed on a low-loader tow truck and taken away. Police inquiries revealed the vehicle identification number assigned to the car recovered in Leicester was that originally assigned to a diplomatic plate on the defendant's vehicle. Grinina was an employee of the Georgian embassy. Kelly said that when Grinina was arrested on 15 November 2005 she initially told police in prepared statements through a solicitor that on the night of the crash she had been contacted by her brother in Moscow to say her mother had fallen ill and she had arranged to go there as soon as possible. She alleged on that night she had earlier been driven to a function at the House of Lords by a person who had asked to borrow the Range Rover, but refused to name them for fear of repercussions. The court heard that police found no record of her travelling to Russia that evening. Kelly told the court one of Grinina's friends recalled how Grinina had arranged to pick up a mutual friend from Heathrow on 11 March, but had failed to meet up as planned in south-west London later that night. When she called Grinina's boyfriend in the early hours of 12 March, he answered to say they were in France. When asked why by her friend, Grinina is alleged to have told her: "It is a whole detective story". Organisers of the House of Lords function remembered seeing Grinina and her boyfriend at the evening drinks gathering on 11 March but noticed Grinina left half an hour before her partner. In a later police interview, Grinina alleged the person who borrowed her car was a man named George Gigeishvilli, a Georgian national who jumped from Westminster Bridge in June 2005. Inquiries by police showed the dead man to be a labourer who did not drive in the UK, and who had been working all day in Manchester on 11 March. Kelly said: "The name, we say, was a work of fiction used by her to distract police." He said analysis of Grinina's mobile activity showed a flurry of calls from her phone in the minutes after 10.15pm, the recorded time of the crash, and during that evening, and a further 80 calls from France the next day. Grinina, who was not in court and is not being represented during the trial, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving and undertaking acts intended to pervert the course of justice by removing identification marks from a Range Rover and having the vehicle removed to Leicester for disposal. She denies both charges

footy season ends
this weekend it all ends....its been emotional as big chris once said still think the best jokes i heard this year were.... ROBBERY! Late last night thieves broke into Eastlands and stole the entire contents of Manchester City's trophy room. Police are looking for two men carrying a light blue carpet. i played scrabble last night and had enough tiles to spell tottenham hotspurs...funny thing it was only worth 3 points! (this was back in the first month of the league) joey barton is the new johnny cash...he ocassionaly plays in prison what has 50,000 mugs and no cups...Arsenal What has Old Trafford on a Saturday afternoon at 4.45pm got in common with Wormwood Scrubs Prison? They are both full of cockneys trying to get out. Thieves broke into the home of a Liverpool fan and stole two books. "The thing that upsets me", he said "is that I hadn't finished colouring them in yet!"

please help!!!
fairly certain from what you describe it will be a clock related issue...do you have indiglo clocks that light up blue etc? or a speed converter fitted to make kph mph? its possible something on the clocks is shorting, this can take down the voltage line to all sorts of odd things like hicas/power steering speedo etc HTH

after months of training
get the book allan.....it will help a lot http://www.amazon.co.uk/Perfect-Puppy-Gwen-Bailey/dp/0600585816 Forget anythng else you have seen - buy this book!!, 24 Jan 2006 By "mollycrisp2" - See all my reviews When we bought our puppy we bought a whole heap of reference books, most of which were rather dull and difficult to follow. This is a very clear book, very easy to understand and great to have at hand at all times. It clearly explains what is right and wrong -a great book to keep on hands for those panic moments and just to keep by the bed for reassurance. We thought we knew a lot about dog training but alot of it is old wives tales, this really makes things as unstressful as possible for both owner and puppy.

Timing belt adjustment by Zedworld?
well with all the other bits n bobs it probably will cost that mate....basically if you do a cam belt you're well advised to do the rest...i.e fit a 60k kit as dave posted previously...as jobs go not too hard if you have the right tools you'll need the large socket for the crank nut 27mm i think (a big help is a 3 leg gear puller if the crank is jammed on tight) some long nose pliers and hex bolt tools to remove the cam covers....if you havent got them you will have a nightmare cheers

prank
love this...it must have been great to watch  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/north/story/2009/03/23/hotel-prank.html A sleepy guest at a Whitehorse hotel fell victim to a late-night hoax Sunday when pranksters pretending to be hotel staff instructed him to hurl two appliances out of his second-storey window as an emergency measure. Staff at the Edgewater Hotel in downtown Whitehorse said the Victoria man was sleeping in his room when callers woke him up shortly after 11 p.m. to say there was a gas leak in the building. The callers, who said they were from the front desk, told the guest he had to increase air flow into the building by throwing the room's television and mini-refrigerator through his window. The man was also instructed to pull the fire alarm, waking the Edgewater's other guests. "The poor guy in the room is, of course, feeling pretty bashful and somewhat stupid, but he's not going to be held liable or anything," David Goold, the hotel's night attendant, told CBC News early Monday morning. "He can't really be blamed for what you're doing, half-awake, under the front desk's supposed instructions, which is who the people on the phone said they were." Goold said he later received two separate tips from callers in Ontario, who said the people responsible for the hoax were bragging about their conquest in an online chat room. Goold passed on the tips to Whitehorse RCMP, who say the incident is under investigation
