  1. its a big mutha the crank....borrowed the socket off topless when i did mine....cant recall the size...over 1" i think...might have something in the box as i was given a load of tools n sockets no so long ago...once you have a socket you'll need a long drive torque wrench ideally...soak the crank nut with plusgas or wd40 overnight to help loosen in the meantime get your battery on charge bud...as above it could have stripped teeth off the belt
  2. hi bud IIRC you got an auto gearbox which means you should be ok as the drive disengages almost instantly when belts snap and you can often aviod valves getting bent....i've done a cambelt change give me a buzz and i'll try and pop over to assess the damage/help cheers chris
  3. oh had the n/a while bringing the LWB onto the road...once the lwb was ready sold the na....seemless ownership :D got the volks on tonight...will do pics later as too dark...changed the look for the better :)
  4. dont skim it unless its definately off the level even if it overheated it may not have actually warped.....get a very straight steel rule / edge and test the level first...IIRC you can only skim a block @twice so dont do it unless absolutly necessary
  5. lol...which bit the skirts, spoiler or front? Si never left the fold :slap:...still got the LWB
  6. yeah? what you getting bud or is it too secret, cheers :D

  13. if you havent done one then do a search first....or call a member who has....you need to have the window open pull off the circular cover there is a screw under it that must be removed.....also sealbelt off too if its a series one zed
  14. yep its door card off job...they are a solid black box, fag packet size, mounted inside the door with a cable connection coming out...didnt bother soldering mine got a 2nd hand one off a breaker
  15. lack of passenger window power is probably caused by you turning the power window switch off when playing around with the drivers door switches....try pressing the button on the drivers door controls first.....its a classic problem :D

  18. just did my rears with a pair of stock shocks off luke at the z centre.....they are lovely, drives like a dream i think you'll be surprised how good stock is as oppose to spending ££££'s on aftermarket ones the stock ones are made by Tokico anyway....wouldnt bother with your springs unless the're broken or you want to lower/stiffen the car....cost @ £130 for the pair overnight delivery and goodbye to the bobbing about :D
