  1. ^^^ Last night I met a new girl in the neighbourhood, oh yeah
  2. ^^ I'm just trying to secure a full time job at the moment, but when I do I will be trading my huge van for a smaller one and setting it up for mobile valeting. As soon as I do, you will know ;)
  3. Got a standard reply 'Thanks, but no thanks' on both counts. Boo. And indeed, hiss. Ah well, I'll just keep plugging away :)
  4. "The closest thing the human race has to a real Jedi." - as quoted in some newspaper or magazine when he first got on telly :D
  5. That's what keeps the good guys busy ;)
  6. Way ahead of you ;) Thanks for comments peeps.
  7. Oh, and this one :D :D :D
  8. Some samples:- Hope you like :)
  9. In light of the apparent death of the new build construction industry and my subsequent loss of business, I have started the depressing process of applying for jobs. As many of you know, and some have witnessed, I am a keen valeter/detailer so this is the avenue I'm going to pursue first. I have today made two applications for quite desirable jobs in this field - so please keep your fingers crossed for me!! With positive vibes from all my forum buddies (on here and elsewhere) I might just get the result I need :D
  10. If the Tipo sort's the chassis/traction out, my money's on the Fiat. Power to weight ;) 700bhp in a 900ish kg Tipo, versus 700bhp in a Z at well over 1600kg (fully loaded plus wide arch kit etc.). Do the maths. Sorry Iain, I'm knocking the Beast from the East, I still love ya :D
  11. I've had three Z's from the age of 25 and I've never been pulled. Having seen a few less discerning owners come and go, I would say that it attracts a 50/50 crowd. Such a shame that some drivers just buy them because they're cheap, thrash the crap out of them then scrap them - sacrilige in my opinion.
  12. Saw one in the car park at the MPH show at the NEC recently - also saw the tw4t parked next to it in his rusty Volvo 340 open his door onto it, with some force I might add!! I know I should've said something, but he was rather large :D
  13. Sorry Dan, no plans to head north this weekend :(
  14. We've just had a new suite delivered and have one of our old 3 seaters left over and it could do with a new home Not the best picture in the world, but it gives you an idea:- It has washable chenille covers, and comes with two matching cushions. It's REALLY comfy but does have a hole in the cover on one arm, and the front middle leg is missing (we've always propped it up on a book ;) ). Free to a good home, to whoever wants to collect it this weekend, or if you're not too far away and you're willing to pay for diesel, I'll deliver it to you in my van. Cheers :D
  15. Nice one mate, I'm SOOOO jealous. Anybody got a black Z they want to drive to Leicester for a polish? :D
  16. Hey up Mr Tim!! How ya doin' buddy? You really are the Daddy now then eh? Me too - isn't it great!! Nice to hear you're still enjoying the Z too - I had to sell mine, booo :( Planning on attending any shows next year? It'd be great to catch up with you mate.
  17. Nice one Naf, the Rat lives on :D
  18. I want the seat covers that you can see behind it - lush.
  19. Maddest thing I've ever done with a Z? Sell it  :( I'm an idiot.
  20. I've seen 181.9mph on proper telemetry gear at Bruntingthorpe in Chunk's swb slicktop TT. I Couldn't tell you what he'd got done to it at the time other than a Profec B wound up to max. It did die a few days later though :D
  21. Nice beading shot there Si, might have to get myself some 476. I'm using a Porter Cable, but a G220 is pretty much exactly the same, but in 240v. I have a rotary too but it is far easier to burn the lacquer if you don't know what you're doing (catching an edge can happen in the blink of an eye). Get some scrap panels and practice before attacking your pride and joy with a rotary - that's what I did. Having said that, I still prefer to use the Porter Cable - it's more comapct and easier to handle IMO. :)
  22. That's definitely the one that belonged to Mickey's Dad, so I presume that is the one we're looking for :)
  23. I have been a sub-contract new build window fitter earning pretty good money for the last 7½ years. I'm now pretty much on the verge of bankrupcy and only surviving on the few private renovation jobs that I am getting (despite spending all my spare time and money advertising) but I haven't done a day on new build for 3 months now. The main company I do work for is still going, but they have had to diversify quite a lot to survive, and they are only getting enough work for the few fitters that they have on salaries. I know of at least 4 new build window companies that have gone bust now - it's hit my part of the industry really hard. If anyone needs anyone, I am currently looking to get an employed job :D Alternatively, I own a Transit Jumbo if anyone needs a sub-contract driver :) Gotta try!
