  1. Hi, As you may recall I am building a top mounted fuel rail feeding top feed injectors - so when I bin the stock fuel rail I will lose the mount point for the stock Fuel Temp Sensor. I believe the 300Degree rail has a hole on each rail for the OEM temp sensor to be re-used - but I have also read a few Aussie and USA posts that say they have deleted it when changing rails!!!! :xxx: I could mount the temp sensor back on the new rail - or more conveniently maybe on the 'Y' splitter block to the parallel rail feeds! Or - if advantageous - anywhere else?!?! What's the best solution chaps? Any feelings?
  2. ...Can I just disconnect and remove servo, cable etc? Are there [going to be] any issues with just leaving the connector flapping in the wind (with the others)? Sounds simple I know - but this is a ZED so... :nelson: Cheers..
  3. Well done - your getting there matey.
  4. Yes - DAN is the MAN - one set = 3 injector connector tails - so you will need 2 sets to complete the job. They were about £21.00 per set (of three) last time I bought some. (+VAT + DEL) ;=( Hope that helps.
  5. Hi matey Not zcentre - made them myself - 3 pieces - engine skins are good if you want to change/or have already changed the colour of your car - but not had the engine out to spray the engine bay the same. IN my case the car colour was ruby red - and the car is currently Ferrari Red so... :o Yes - I have just polished them - they need to be chromed - they are the 4 intercooler pipes/plumbing on the front of the car chassis - I have already polished/chromed the two kinda attached to the side of the plenum. Hope that helps. Thanks for the feedback guys - appreciated. Andy
  6. Hi Managed to grab some time today to try and figure how/where to mount the Aeromotive FPR and filter - finally decided to mount them to the passenger side engine skin as below. I fabricated the filter bracket from the original fuel filter bracket lol. It will get powder coated or chromed. Just polished currently. Works out quite well as the fuel supply comes UP nicely into the filter - exits filter via a a 35 degree 8AN - then into an 8AN/2 x 6AN splitter that will then loop out to the fuel rails. (Parallel feed) - then exit from the rails back to the two 6AN' on the FPR and out the bottom back to the fuel return/tank. Sweet. Any comments, hints or tips appreciated. Also polished up the remainder of the intercooler piping ready for chroming next week.. Bit of before and after here... ;)
  7. Throttle Cable cover (one piece carbon)
  8. Surely if they are electric fans - you may be able to reverse the connections to make them spin in the opposite direction. I believe most, but not all lekkie rad fans can do this - I know mine can. MAybe worth trying to get some info on the actual fans you have and google for the specs. I must admit I did not read the whole thread - so I may be way off so..... ;-))
  9. Hmmmm - I just spoke to my guys and they have toooooo much on at the moment and could not guarantee your parts back 'before xmas'!!!! The devil is in the detail - the preparation is the killer - I prep/polish all of my stuff myself and just get them to do the 'plating' basically so I don't experience this resistance/cost of the polishing/prep work. (Pretty standard response for the metal plating industry). They don't make much money (if any) out of this work so it is of minor importance to them. Sounds like I would be hiking you out of the frying pan into the bonfire man - sorry! Sounds like you should stick with your current supplier maybe - just apply some more pressure ;-))
  10. Can you PM or email me sir... andy.gp@gmx.com
  11. Waxoil/Tetraseal - It's good to brush it on thick - then use a mini foam roller to tidy it up - looks like it's been sprayed on after that. I used a couple of packs of mini rollers from the 99p shop - worked well - looked good.
  12. How much stuff do you have matey - I will just call them first to make sure your not out of the frying pan into the fire - so to speak. Have you had a quote at all?
  13. Madmax - I use a guy in Hounslow/Feltham area - but I guess that is tooo far from Portsmouth right?
  14. Ha ha - cool - well we have a source at reasonable cost - that's the main thing. Thanks guys. Another mystery solved.
  15. Here you guys - who da man? http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/M7-x-30-Socket-Capscrew-DIN-912-A2_ADTT.aspx £10.22 for x8 inc vat - my order is in ;-))
  16. OK - Good news - Found Some! Bad News - There in Toronto - http://www.torontocycles.com/Selling/Titanium_Bolts.html I guess these may be also on ebay.COM (USA) - have not cheked that yet.... I will probably get 10 from theses guys if I can;t find something real soon..
  17. I am willing....
  18. I tried Pro-bolt and when they finished laughing - they said NO!
  19. Sorry man - you beat me to it ha ha Good to get confirmation of the size though - well done.
  20. They are not M8 or M6 - my whole engine had been re-done with SS Marine grade hex head bolts - but I think those baby's are M7!!!!! Have yet to find an M7 bolt to try it - but I know they are used on racing/mountain bikes so will keep looking ;-))
  21. Yay nice - those exhaust Cam bolts are very strange size - I am stuffed trying to find replacements for those - if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear from them ;-))
  22. lol me too - I originaly bought it with low expectations to be honest, and I was on the verge of doing a Manual swap - but it is fun, adds a new dimension to an old car, even if paddles and clutchless changes are everywhere now - anywayt I still have not managed to break my auto box so... ;-)) I have an aftermarket steering wheel and made myself several flavours of 'paddle' as well - so it's all possible..
  23. You need the cruise control wires to power the paddles of I remember correctly - been a while.
  24. Maybe that was a v1.0 - you can tweek it quite a lot - Mine does not feel that slow - but tiptronic it is not - but feel free to slag it - when you have not tried it - kinda expect that. I don't know how you drive but if you have/had an auto, a paddle change might be a nice thing to have right - It pleases me for sure. I would reccomend it to anyone who is not ready/interested/capable/funded/bothered to convert to Manual, and who can see the benefits of paddle/auto switchability.
