  2. Thanks Chris and Kirbz, mine is reading 80c so I think it is spot on, does move a little up and down no higer than around 87, just goes to show that the standard gauge aint as accurate as the aftermarket ones. Cheers, Ant :)
  3. Thanks all yep thats what I did in the end Kirbz, cheers mate. Another question what should the temp read when fully warm?? Cheers Ant
  4. Hello all, Just put in my water temp sender and now i need to wire the guage up, at the mo i am having one wire straight to the sender and i am piggy backing into the the illumination wires from my boost guage for the lights on my water guage but my question is .... I have to put a + and - from the water gauge also so can i run these straight to the battery or is there an easier wire i could piggy back into near the drivers side??? Cheers, Ant :)
  5. Cars been all checked out many a time not a prob with it, :D Just must have been driving very economical, around round I get the usual 200 miles per full tank so no probs there ;) I bet the last half will last about 50miles now its back to town driving..
  6. Hello, Yes I cant believe it myself just been to Norwich today so from essex to Norwich and back again 202 miles round trip and I only used half a tank   really pleased and that was with speeds of 70-80 and even stuck in traffic for about 2 miles. Just thought i'd share it with you as I was really impressed :) Ant

  10. Thanks mate, pretty pleased too, first attempt at trimming and the seats and dash took me about 18hrs all in all so not bad. Cheers Ant :D
  11. Hi all, Finally got round to sorting out a rides section :hyper: , and at the same time put the car up for sale, am not in any rush in selling just thought i'd see if there is any interest out there - the way prices are at the mo its shocking. I did have a look at an impreza the other day i know its terrible but just wanted to see what a dealer would offer me for mine and he offered me 4k against the 5k impreza  was pleasantly suprised but I didnt want the impreza . Anyway just thought i'd share my pics with you :D Cheers Ant
  12. I just tested my water temp gauge using the standard sender that the dash guage uses (was hoping for a easy install) and my new guage read 110c :( so from what i am thinking it must be something to do with the sender and maybe you have to use the sender that came with it, may not be calibrated as such but may be some sort of current that each sender sends out??? Sorry not really that tech minded but I will try again using the sender that came with mine and see if it reads correctly. Thanks, Ant
  13.  I know but if they send to the uk then I am gonna get one, and hide it away for piece of mind, you can never have to much security!!!
  14. Just think its another bit of security but more for the looks really think it will look quite good mounted in a nice place :)
  15. Guys, What do you think of this http://www.autotoys.com/x/catalog/KEYPAD_STARTER_KILL_LIGHTED_p_317.html I like the look of it and think it would be quite a good bit of extra security for the very cheap price, might enquire to see if they can post to the uk. What do you reckon?? Cheers Ant
  16. I know mate sorry, I knew you said that earlier, what i meant can I take the old sender out and put the new sender in, as the shop I bought it from said take the old one out and screw the new one in its place thats why it has two thread sizes on the new sender as cars generally only use one of the two sizes but hey this is a 300 so nothings simple!! Looks like I'll be giving you a call in the week so I can use your tools to tap in to the pipe if thats ok mate? :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: Cheers Ant
  17. Thanks again everyone. Scoops I'll think i'll do it that way, sounds the easiest way thanks. :D Ant.
  18. Thanks all for your replies  Just searching and from the picture of the engine bay with numbers could I just piggy back the wires from my new temp guage into the existing temp sensor that the dash temp guage uses or will this not work?? Not trying to be cheap (well it would be nice) but I am looking for the simplist way of fitting my new guage but still get an accurate reading? Thanks again. Ant
  19. I thought this, but I have heard that I could just screw the sender into the rubber water pipe or isnt this safe?? Metal into rubber??? Cheers for the response Paul. Ant
  20. Hello all, Just bought an additional water temp gauge and was wondering how and where is the best place to fit the temp sender.? It came with a brass screw- in sender with two different size threads but I am unsure as to where this is to be fitted to get the most accurate temp readings? If you have one fitted could you let me know where this has gone on yours or is it case I have to buy some special parts in order for me to use it. Thanks guys. Ant :D
  21. Re the blanking caps, I got mine from B&Q cant remember exactly what they were called but they had two sizes - the larger ones are the perfect fit and they come in two colours white and black, they are made of quite hard plastic but block perfectly with a jubilee clip :D Sorry the description is pretty poor but I think they are something to do with a household radiator??? I just bought all different things and these fitted perfectly they come in a bag of two. Just look around in your store and you should find them. Only about a pound or something. Hope this is somesort of help. Ant
  22. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=31687 Hope this link works first time of tried it. It takes the spongeyness out from the pedal as it stops the brake master cylinder from moving, works a treat :D Cheers Ant
  23. Smithy's Porterfield pads (front and rear), front 3G discs and a Brake bracket from Danny (DTA) all of the above cost me £300 and an hour and a half of my time to fit and what an improvement it makes  Cheers Ant
  24. Cant believe how crap the seatbelts are, I have never had to replace them on any car i've had before  Cheers again. Stevo has just mailed me saying he has two so probably have those. :) Ant
  25. Cheers Paul, I was going to for the steering gaitor but dont know about the seatbelts?? Anyone got 2 jap spec ones for sale? Thanks mate Ant
