  4. It was possible on my old MR2 Turbo as i did it as a tester and it made a really loud noise, all i did was pull one of the pipes from it and block it up, so probably the same on the zed but just got to know which pipe :) , dont know how safe it is though??

Guys/girls, Have just uploaded my pics of the progress of my car so far and would like to hear peoples opinions as to whether the mods so far are in the right direction or is there anything people wouldnt have done?? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=3762 My progress is slow as I am saving for a house so I am doing bits as and when, next to do are the front and rear bumper and manual conversion when one comes up  Thanks for your opinions peeps and I know the graphics will cause a stir but each to there own ;) ;) Cheers Ant

  18. Thanks mate thats what I wanted to hear :) Just had a look how do you get to the bolts?? do you have to remove the struts first so it opens wider as seems very tight to get a tool in there?? Thanks again.
  19. Hello peeps, just wondering if anyone can give me some advice as I am hoping tomorrow to take my tailgate off and replace with another with the high spoiler on to save me on having my old spoiler removed and filled and painted. So is removing this a big job like everything else or should it be a question of a few bolts etc. Thanks all Ant
  20. I had the same with my old ones, I am guessing they are the spring and piston type, if so make sure they are on the loosest setting (unscrew) then they will open if this fails you may have to cut the springs cut a ring at time until they open be carefull not to cut to short as they will vent prematurely and will cause the car to stall. Also might help to grease up the insides to help the piston slide. Should you cut too short dont worry as you can always pack with washers inside to compensate. Hope this helps mate. Ant
  21. Danny (TTs) it was me who called it the baggins bypass, i showed you the pipe he fitted instead of all the little ones that pop all the time :headvswal He did mine in Feb and have not had any more steaming and know feel alot more comfortable knowing it was done by a man who knows his stuff  You know it makes sense a one off payment of approx 250 rather then spending 100's each time it goes.
  22. :hyper: :hyper: Wahhey thanks mate youve just made my day never been seen as yet in this section and after driving 500 miles this weekend I only saw one silver zed in Yarmouth and that was it.
