Yes, Luke at the ZCentre does the kit. Called control are bush kit or something but if you call he'll help you out.
  2. I've got one I think, will chack it's not damaged.
  3. Sad, sad day, but nice he's retired still on top of his game and not become some sad old has-been.
  4. Pace have got one of the ?revtec? V8's in a caterham. Its basically 2 busa engines on a common crank case. Makes about 385bhp @ 14,000 I think. Needs rebuilds every 30 hours though. Apparently you can't actually breath when you floor it
  5. Cheeky b*****d. I can move quickly, I just prefer to conserve energy when possible. SL55 thing was hilarious, outrun by a 160bhp french tin box. Love it when crap drivers buy fast cars! Look on his face was brilliant. Got to say though, when he first passed me on the (only) straight it was like I'd put mine in reverse! VERY VERY quick. Got passed him on the first bend though and from then on just left him.
  6. I'd be surprised if the VG30 is lighter, it weighs about 300000000000 tonnes! VH45 or Chevy LS6 would be a better bet TBH and give you nice V8 rumble. No lag either and both are lighter then the VG30
  7. I can have a look at it for you and/or do you a chip. Drop me a PM or email if you want to chat about it.
  8. BMW V12 might fit, but you'd need to dry sump it as the oil pump is in the sump and its massive. Not that I ever considered it ........
  9. Cheers, might well take you up on that soon if things don't change. Been promised can get in the workshop in the next few weeks to get going on stuff, seems like ages since I've even touched it to be honest :(
  10. Mainly waiting!! Don't suppose any one has a manderel bender, tig set, chop saw and a load of 44mm 321 stainless lying around spare by any chance ....
  11. That's a sore point!!! His is about 3 times more work than mine, as mine is just engine swap and throw interior away and even that is taking for ever. I'd guess mine will be done in 2009, Leigh's in 2050 at current work rates!!
  12. It's not one of the ones where the arrow lights up is it? Might just be for that if it is.

Bloody hell, good to see you back mate :duffer:
  14. Absolutely. First class service every time off Mike.
  15. That's good to know. Probably will get one when Dan sorts out the GB. Know it's odd, but I actually like the look of bonnet pins.
  16. Had heard that. Guess they get away with highish CR and low boost because of the capacity.
  17. Can believe it. Nice to see AMG moving towards proper drivers cars instead of blingy dragsters with forced induction.
  18. Is that the really nicely developed NA one built by the ex-porsche engine designer? Looks fantastic if it is.
  19. Eric, how is the fit and finish? Some cf bottets I have seen are just terrible.
  20. Ideal also is to have an ignition break button then you can spin over on the starter until oil pressure builds before you release it. Will need to do this with the dry sump system on the V8.
  21. If 500 ft-ibs from a turbo v6 isn't muscle then what is!!
  22. Either is going to cost lots, just depends what you want. Big numbers / lag go big turbo route. Response / control / drivability stick an NA V8 in there. Turbo route is obviously easier as all the parts are off the shelf and basically straight fit. The v8 job is more difficult depending on which engine you go for.
  23. Wouldn't like to carry it upstairs!! World's heaviest table. Does actually look pretty cool though.
  24. Think also, it's generally accepted that BHP figures from those days were not particularly accurate, they only had water dynos at the time.
  25. Dave, if it's missing at high revs you sure plugs are OK and you don't have a boost leak anywhere? To overfuel to the point of missfire you have to really dump fuel in and I can't see any map being that rich!
