  2. Card of Kate plus a new steering wheel for the Zed :hyper:
  3. Just fitted my Navan steering wheel this morning, and it looks cool. Is Navan, Nissan aftermarket? just wondered as the main body of the wheel has Nissan stamped on it? Thanks Zedworld :)
  4. welcome mate, seen the car a few times, nice motor
  5. Hi, I also work for one of the top 5 IT companies in the UK on a perm contract, I too used to be a contractor in the SAP erp system but due to wanting a more stable income over a longer period of time I went for a perm position. I am not sure in what sector of IT you work in but in the SAP arena (which is one of the highest paid in the sector for it) the daily rate dropped quite a bit on average. The going rate at the moment is approx £500 a day (not including expenses ) but with the package I was offered (company car, pension and all that sort of jazz) I was also down by approx 50% but now I do not have the hassle of constantly looking for work but the good side, I get training (which with SAP is not cheap) 35 days paid holiday, working from home and the odd sick day (paid ;)). when I was contracting I lived for work, it was always, work work and more work, if I had a day off I would be thinking 'crap I am loosing out on £xxx today' and this was not to good for my personal life. I would take it mate and as mentioned, if it does not work out or when the market picks up you can always leave. My opinion anyway, hope it works out for you in these hard times.
  6. tin foil and some rubber bands :mac1:
  7. Hmm it is different, I quite like that roof spoiler :x:
  8. Good point, what year is the scenic if pre 06 reg deffo not dual mass, yes my other car is a Scenic 7 seater :wack: And we had a 55 plate megane (same engine/running gear as Scenic) that had 2 clutches in it in 4 years and only 60,000 miles.
  9. It is a bit quite on the meets front, might have to move to cornwall :slap:
  10. common prob on the transit (pre 2002), the main one for the tranny is the seal leaks (engine side), and you get oil on the plates that then slowely destroys your clutch and drive plate. With the Megane I expect there is a contamination in there.
  11. Feck I am in for it with the super dragger :wack:
  12. According to the seller - it is "painted in mclaren colours".... The interior is a collection of carefully researched and handcrafted modifications....the switch panel below the stereo is just amazing.... :wack::wack::wack::wack:
  13. Just found my dream engine bay and hopefully with the help of the club I will one day have it. this is a car in NZ, you can see the ebay add 550Bhp :mac1:
  14. Oh heck, I loved the spec of your hardware on the car :( But least you have something fun still
  15. like paxo's with dust bin lid exhausts :mac1:
  16. Welcome to the club, the best colour by far :x:
  17. Has anyone (or has this already been posted) heard about the revision that was brought in to the MOT test this year? Basically says that if you exhaust(s) is louder than standard it is a fail. The official wording is "We have made a slight amendment to the RfR, which now makes it clear that the comparison is with a similar vehicle with a silencer in average condition":eek:
  18. Maybe a silly question but why are you getting rid of the electric set-up? I thought this was supposed to be a better mod
  19. I have a soft spot for the 3 cheese sandwich
  20. Normally yes but not sure on the Zed :slap:
  21. As my sig say's: Not spending my daily allowence while travelling (tesco snacks for dinner) and saving £10 a day to spend on my Zed :wack: I get the option while away on business to have £20 a day no questions asked whilst in the UK (this is the worst rate I get in Europe ). I have taken the approach that instead of eating a drinking it all in pubs and so on I purchase pre packed food from the super market. To start off I was saving £10 a day but have now squeezed it to £15 a day so the average a week is £50 to £60 a week. Am I mad (sitting in my hotel room eating cheese sandwiches and not in a bar drinking). Or is it a good idea (as it is better for my health and I have been sat in bars for the last 7 years now).
  22. You know it is  Wonder when I go on Friday if they will notice if I swap it :slap:
  23. Our best wishes are with you :)
  24. You know what I have to say about Zedworld and Jeff :slap: Top class service and knowledge, and what is excellent is they are on my door step :nana2:
