  3. does he actually drive/ review the z32??
  4. ill have to find out mate.... i cant wait!!! have you had your 60k service yet... with these things it tends to be something small that you dont think of until youve fixed every big thing on the engine... and then realise you didnt need to change these big thinks because of the stupid small thing would have fixed the problem! its always the way in my experience any way have you seen my post on the NE hants meet... you interested??? be good to meet up again
  5. Dear all in my area and any one else who is interested: To celebrate the return of my zed when ryan@ ztech has fixed it for me i would like to hold a meet. Another reason being in the last few months alot more people in my area have wised up to the charmes of the zed and bought one... good for you chaps. I was thinking Sunday the 23rd of Jan, fingers crossed ill have the zed back by then. I have a couple of locations in mind... either the Crown and Cushion in Minley, The Raven in Hook or The DaHaavland Arms in Elvetham Heath, fleet. Im sure the land lords of the crown and cushion and the raven will be cool with the idea, as im friends with both land lords....with the dahaavland arms, i will have to find out and let you know. Out of these options, opinions are welcome to where you fancy, coz i aint fussed. all of them have good beer, all close to the M3 and all good pubs Will keep you all posted Cheers Nick
  6. yeah mate do what im doing in 2 weeks............. getting rid of my cats and replacing them with a cat and down pipe kit from chris@getgreddy. how many miles has yours got anyway??? nick
  7. i live next to the phoenix pub, and its at an angle cause the council wont pay to fix up our road, so it half on the green, half on the road. to my knowledge im the only one in hartley witney... saying that there is usually a red one parked in the winchfield train station car park, which is same red as mine , but ha only changed the rims cant wait to get mine fixed though nick
  8. ha ha ha, you would though wouldnt you, i known i would, and christina..... nice very true though pete, but some people just think hiding it in the boot will do, but as ive just said, that just aint enough any more
  9. liam, dude, join the club.... mines gone as well... so ryan is kindly pretty much rebuiling the top alf of my engine and fitting new down pipes and decats It sux not having a zed!!!!!
  10. To all you lot who may have laptops with mobile internet access laptops. Dont say the police dont tell you nothing cause as a copper im about to save you some money!!! The latest scam with stealing laptops from cars goes as follows: Mobile internet access uses very similar equipment as bluetooth on most mobile phones, thats why i can get full internet access on my new mobile, ie 3G mobile phone/ laptops. Thiefing *******s now use mobile phones to track down which car has a laptop inside it even if they cannot see it. What they do is activate their bluetooth on their phone and set it to "detect other devices". They then walk around a car park and use it to detect laptops, which most people leave on standby and dont turn them off, and use the phone as a signal detector... ie if they go to a car and detect a laptop in the area ( bluetooth will only pick stuff up in cars from around 2 meters away) and the signal is instant, they take a guess... they then move away from that car and if the signal weakens they break into the car, lower the folding rear seats, and bingo a nice new mobile internet laptop! So be warned this is happeneing more and more where i work and is becoming a tend in motor vehicle crime Hope this help Nick

Right if anyone is interested: Lemans trip sounds a bit kack to be honest so me and a couple of my compadrays, in a puslar and a westfield, are going to see the race, then pelting it down to the mighty RING for 4 days, then pelting it again to monaco to go totty spotting and then back via errr...... amsterdam.. maybe we havent decided that bit yet. Dont ask me for cost cause its kinda difficult to gauge. Now that Dorint hotel has been mentioned i will probably try and contact them. but in terms of petrol money, money for leman, money for the nurburgring, and any other money you can think of, ie... youll need a fair wodge. hey ho. but if your interested on a road trip style holiday for about 10 days then let me know cheers happy new year blah blah blah Nick
  12. the tyre pressures should be 34psi i think, take it to a garage where they have the laser wheels alighnment and tracking setup thingy. when i fitted my 17inch blitz type3 rims i had it done and pretty much every thing was slightly out, tracking, toe in toe out... the lot. and only cost me 20 quid to rectify and they did it there and then. the car felt totally different afterwards. with the heavily worn road/motorways where big ass grooves have been set into the road from big mo fo lorries then its going to squirm about any way. all i will say is WHY THE F*** ARE YOU IN THE INSIDE LANE!!! YOU OWN A ZED DAMMIT GET IN THE RIGHT LANE!!! LOL!! good luck nick
  13. Dude i got bridgestone so-2s on the front and so-3s on the rear. Awesome is the only word i can use. Only other i would try would be eaglef1 but in my experience they dont last long
  14. danny: as per usual top notch advice, abd after speaking to you i totally agree that down pipes and decat is the way forward. will have to see how the head goes before i jump on the decat ship Chris: im deffinatly interested bud, if i call you when i know the damage to my heads, and if all is well, ill order the downpipe and decat set. ill call you when its closer to the time Ryan@ztech: i know your going to shout at me cause ive ignored what you said about decatting, but hey ho, i want more power dam it. how much extra would it be to fit the decat and down pipe. I would say im being more sensible that usual by checking the condition of the head, i know what im like ,and i would have bought them by now!!! lol
  15. I've got 2 choices. Downpipe and decat or bov's. Mmm what to do?
  16. Chris i had a look at the down pipe and cat. I want it but i cant buy until the money clears from my loan to fix the zed. I want it though
  17. Chris, what is a pcv. I have heard of it but cannot remember what it is/does. Cheers. Nick
  18. apart from the likley hood of failing an mot, err bothered, im feeling the need to decat. For obvious reasons i want to get rid of my cats but after speaking to ryan at ztech and reading a thread in the tuning and mods part of the FAQ, i get the impression that they are the main cause of turbo failure, and the changing of PCV valves/ seals, cant remeber which is correct, can help prevent this happening WTF is a PCV valve/ seal???? Are they expensive to change/ check??? If, and thats a BIG IF, who sells them and how much. Ive had a quote of SUMO power and they want £284 +vat+p&p. which works out at £350 i think... is this a good quote?? alot of questions i know, but as far as i am concered, as with all cars including the zed, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!! Cheers Nick :mac1:

  21. JRE: would be good, deffo after chrimbo, the zed is dead at the moment, probably anew set of heads, seals, tappets, blah blah blah c/o z-tech (there you are ryan, my first z-tech plug, thats got to be worth a voucher) and wont be back untill end of jan. we could go to the da haavant arms??? bubbles: it was you i saw, nice motor mate. you at the college at brams hill???
  22. I'm after a new one mate. I don't want to take any risks. Cheers though. Anyone else got any suggestions
  23. aaaaah. mike it did when we first fitted it, but as you said it was connected to the engine speed spin on the ecu, whicis 2 up from the spped. your prop right jeff, but its going to have to wait till the rads sorted cheers all nick
