  1. Sorry mate but i dont see how i have created a negative atmosphere for Chris? Maybe its because im reading it as it was ment to be read, and it appears from other perspective that i was trying to discredit him. Trust me mate, this wasnt the intention at all, I dont even know chris, so i wouldnt even attempt to discredit him, its just not my style. Its difficult taking over an business and i appreciate that, unfortunatly being tagged with a rep that is indeserved happens to everyone, even me. Like i said i honestly wish the bloke all the best.
  2. Chris, First of all i would like to wish you well with your reserection of the business, which ever name it decides to trade under. Please be reassured that I was not meaning to start any trouble with this thread, it was mainly curiousity to see what was happening with the business. Nothing more. I did actually pop down to the old premises in Baydon not too long ago and found it all shut up, which lead me to checking the website, which brings me to this thread here. I'm hoping to come down to your new place in the near future, introduce myself and check out your new place. Until then, best of luck to you. Nick
  3. No worries fella, sorry for any confusion caused. :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:
  4. My motive is trying to establish if we have another specialist in the south that is worth spending money on. Nothing more, and theyre is deffinatly no alterior motive for my posting, only as i said you can never have enough Zed specialists, and as im looking into buying another zed, i want to know who is near me should i need work doing. As you can appriciate, from some of the people who have typed into this thread, Ztech was seen to view the thread for a significant lenght of time, hence why i said "im looking forward to the reply", and yet it 'appeared' that no response was given. To know that Ztech is putting together some sort of statement is very reassuring, but I was not to know, maybe thats not for me to know, that this was the case. Nick
  5. obviously not. i have to say, im a touch suprised.
  6. Hey Hey, Nudge Nudge, a winks as good as a nudge to a blind bat!! ;) ;) I really need to stop watching Monty Python! :mac1:
  7. I hope its not the big end bearings! Whats the oil pressure like?
  8. Dont know what your talking about  :slap:
  9. Hows your car coming along fella??
  10. I take it we got no answer then!?!
  11. Im actually looking forward to the answer!
  12. Infact my comments of how good ztech were to me are still the top of the list on the "comments" page on the ztech site!
  13. Peeps, Ive just re visited the ztech website for the first time in ages, and see that it has moved premises. I know Chris took over not too long ago and was wondering if anyone has seen the new premises and is it a bit more suitable for the work than the old premises (which to be honest was nothing more than a large dingy hole in the middle of a farm), had any contact with Chris, or most importantly had there car worked on?? In the 2 years of zed ownership i spent a serious amount of money with the old ztech (tbh it was probably at ztechs peak) and i realise that a fair few incident seriously damaged Ztechs reputation for good work. So i am curious to see what direction the new owner/management is taking it in. For the people who have been there, is it a case of ztech reborn, or same old same old??? I cant help but think that you cant have too many QUALITY specialist. (This is not ment to be any sort of dig at ANY of the traders, especially any of the SWZ boys, knowing that your in close proximity to ztech) Cheers Nick
  14. Yeah i thing your on the right track.Check all the connections on the coils to make sure theyre ok. May also be worth looking at the plugs and the injectors. I had a similar problem with flooring it and it gaining a missfire where it dropped down to 4, later found out it was shagged injectors. It may well be worth piece of mind as your going to have the coils and plugs out just to do a quick compression test to give you an idea on how healthy your engine is at the moment.

is it worth the risk of falling off........... HELL YEAH!!! Is it going to hurt??? HELL YEAH want one now, where do i sign?
  16. i think i just throw up a little bit in my mouth
  17. Cheers fella. I think its becoming clearer the more time i spend on here, that even after 2 years of not being anywhere near a zed, im pretty good at diagnosing faults, which imho is invaluable experience that i wouldnt have with any other car.
  18. Its pretty difficult to see whether a lifter is dead or not, as i think im right in saying that the one way valve is inside the lifter. Try putting a screw driver down between the gaps in the plenum and onto the rocker cover. Stick your ear to the end of the screwdriver and have a good old listen, you should be able to hear the lifter rattling very clearly, and saves you having to take it to pieces to find its not them
  19. are you talking about the viscous fan?, if you are, if does run all the time. If your talking about the auxilary fan on the rad, then the temp sensor is up the creak, are at very least a very poor connection.
  20. Parked next to your zed in the pub car park at the begining of the Liverpool - Porto match (Come on you reds, excellent result!!!) Never seen your zed in the area before? where your from?
  21. that vid sounds more like big end bearings, and really shagged ones at that
  22. woman - wolfmother
  23. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah gotcha. Yeah i heard some of the stories. Never had a prob myself but hey ho, shite happens, shame so many peeps got burned.
  24. Welcome to the club matey, hope the zed gives you some trouble free motoring.
