I always used wynns mate, but i think Millers do some as well. Dont want to sound sceptical bud, but they sound a bit far gone for lifter treatment to have a lasting effect. Hope im proved wrong

How come one turbo is lower than the other??? Anyone got any ideas?

Thats not too bad, from memory is that about 15 psi at tick over and about 45psi under load?

Thats deffo lifters matey. They sound very very dry tho. New lifters or taking them out and manually cleaning them are the two options me thinks. If you need a hand, ill come down and help as ive don both before Nick

Gaz, have a look at the video i posted further up, stuck lifters sound EXACTLY like that. You cant confuse the noise with big ends. When you hear that noise you know something is very wrong! I had both go on my old zed at one point or another. I ended up changing the lifters for a new set after a while, it just got to one point where oil changes and lifter treatment just didnt work any more. Easy job to do

Wouldnt the decreasing size keep the air pressure even at the fron and back of the plenum?

That sounds worse than a lifter, but the sound quality aint great. It should sound more like a light tapping rather than what you can hear on the video, which sounds more like a thudding.

Just put a screw driver against the cam covers and youll be able to hear them bud

Youve raised i point that ive always been curious about. Why is it that the big tuning companys ie HKS, Jun, Greddy etc make uprated inlet manifolds/plenums and exhaust manisfolds for the other popular Jap cars (skylines, supras, evos, scoobys, type R's) and yet nothing is available for the zed??? Ok maybe the plenum quite efficient, but surley the cast iron exhaust manifolds can be improved???

As much as i can see where your coming from, i dont think this is the case. Theres just not enough key symptoms to point towards a shagged turbo. Dave, i take it the motor revs freely all the way to the red line, but is simply not boosting, and other than that, theres nothing else out of the ordinary??? Do the turbos sound likes theyre "trying" to boost and not getting up any steam? Almost sounds like a huuuuuuuuuuge boost leak to me. Cant see how its anything electrical as the ECU has no control over the boost

Actually, just thinking about it, why ISNT it a zed car???? Ive never seen any "deffinition" of what makes a zed car. If its as what athene said, that its a series of SPORTS cars released by nissan. Then the 300zx falls into that catagory. I would agree that it isnt the "purest" of the Z range, but it IS a zed none the less! You cannot deny the Logic, RESISTANCE IS FUTILE
