coz we all really wanted a glance at your crotch?!? at the begining of the vid, it sounds like lifters, but when you move to a bit more side on, i can hear what your saying about belt slap. Does the noise change when the rev the engine? I find it odd that it goes, or at least quietens when the engine warms up. Are the tensioners hydraulic? i cant remember

The most common stuff is Wynns Lifter Treatment and is available at any good motorfactors. for oil speak to Oilman, who works for OpieOils. He will give you some sound advice on oil. I personally used to use Castrol RS 10w60, but times may have moved on since then

Alan, atm all it is is civil tresspass, so the old bill cant do anything. BUT it may well be worth letting them know, especially if he is a recovering druggie, in which case hes probably done a bit of burglary in his time. You dont have to make a report, but its good intelligence. Just be carefull when you do confront him, especially if its in your back garden, doesnt matter how big you are, a knife in the gut will bring you down regardless of size. Carry something like a baseball bat/cricket bat and aim for very meaty areas, thighs shoulders etc, take longer for brusing to come out, and it where alot of the main nerves are so itll have a stronger effect. And make use of your attic. Ill say know more

I think Danny@DTA does tensioners at a good price mate. If its cambelt related i wouldnt mess about and change the tensioner. And DONT DRIVE IT! the last thing you want is for that belt to slip a couple of teeth

I always used wynns mate, but i think Millers do some as well. Dont want to sound sceptical bud, but they sound a bit far gone for lifter treatment to have a lasting effect. Hope im proved wrong

How come one turbo is lower than the other??? Anyone got any ideas?

Thats not too bad, from memory is that about 15 psi at tick over and about 45psi under load?

Thats deffo lifters matey. They sound very very dry tho. New lifters or taking them out and manually cleaning them are the two options me thinks. If you need a hand, ill come down and help as ive don both before Nick

Gaz, have a look at the video i posted further up, stuck lifters sound EXACTLY like that. You cant confuse the noise with big ends. When you hear that noise you know something is very wrong! I had both go on my old zed at one point or another. I ended up changing the lifters for a new set after a while, it just got to one point where oil changes and lifter treatment just didnt work any more. Easy job to do
