that is a nice z i spilt my curry in it hes been selling that for a while looks great in the flesh,but may only apeal to a certain person :(

bearings can be done from underneath even main end bearings is very fiddly but can be fully done in 1day ztech in wiltshire for any engine work!! as for the amount of oil make sure you have the required amount to much oil can blow seals which can lead to some big bills,TBH if your loosing oil then bearings will have no reflection on why your loosing that much oil check the intercooler pipes for signs of oil!

i replied to the chap with a useful number for the guranteed parts he wanted,i fully understoold what he said and if i can even make heed of what is said then thats good enough for me :D

that crank looks very clean is it brand new or recon and cleaned

2001 sarge there was a statement i found on several forums... due to oil sludge build up causing oil starvation to the top end and turbo saab in a statement from GM say from 1998 saab will warraty any 9-3 or 9-5 with this fault for up to 8years due to a flaw in the saab design of there sump! symptoms are turbo failure! car cuts out for no reason whilst driving! complete engine failure! mine did all 3 in that order so if you could contact saab and question the oil sludge problem and let me know ASAP it would be much appreciated where i stand cheers mate

After that little lot some decent callipers braking is far more important than acceleraton which you would notice on the twisties and to be able to stop on a tupence is much better :D

need a bit of help finding an online manual or workshop manual in download type,as my saab 93 turbo has shot its load and i need to fix it as im not paying someone else to do it if possible :( or anyone know of any breakers i possibly need a recon block- rods and maybe a piston or 2! or is there any one who have worked on these cars any advice,i work on zeds for a living so have mechanical experiance obviously LOL should of kept the z LMAO :wack: cheers greg
