  3. was going to do that with my blitz sbc but the lead wasnt long enough  and was i fook going to wire about8wires for that :smash: nice job though mate
  4. As you say mick wait for callipers to dry,as the nissan logo sits a couple of mm of the surface a bit of wet and dry carefully going over the logo brings the logo up nice and shiny personally i think a sander would be overkill and the chance of taking paint of calliper if you have had a drink the night before
  5. at worst worn rings! valve stem oil seals[normally on startup from cold] turbos at best pcv valves leaking injector or o-ring or rail
  6. not 100% sure but they look like lenso cf but im sure i wanted the lensos but the offset was wrong
  7. yes lots LOL you would need to change all the venting/ducting/wireing etc im not 100%sure but i dont think its worth considering with all the parts you would need
  8. Reverse light is not part of the MOT not 100% sure but its more for curtousy than anything IIRC checked bulbs and wireing to reverse sensor, replace sensor

start with induction&exhaust chip lightened pulley[crank] headers race cams nos turbos  a couple of members on here have squezzed 250fwhp using a few off the mods above it would get silly money to make huge power from an NA
  11. :smash: LOL standard nissan logo is silver the colour of the nissan logo is silver in the pic if you sand it with some wet and dry it enhances the lettering :) HTH
  12. 5spoke the best look on the Z IMO
  13. check timing? boost leaks? if timing is drasiticaly out then the car will find it difficult to idle and be missing badly boost leaks can cause problems check all hoses are reconected and in the correct place and all hoses are tight. and as mentioned AFM MAF
  14. leaky injector o-ring would cause it to dump fuel obviously if its a leaky o-ring on a particular cylinder then there is your answer, remove plenum remove fuel rail,change/check faulty o-ring/s! or even injector best way to test is remove plenum! remove rail with injectors in place! connect fuel lines together! turn over car, then you can see where its leaking from!
  15. no mate when you buy the kit it comes with laquer which you mix with a hardener the logo is standard which iv just sanded to make it stand out
  16. yeh it is weird

il go il borrow a z for now :)
  18. you got it bud
  19. your be nice and warm then :) you can pretty much guarantee its the matrix the only thing other than that which is doubtful but if you have had a lot of rain then targas could be leaking, besides if you dip your finger in the damp bit taste it to see if its sweet like antifreeze a litle wont hurt LOL normally the core of the matrix corrodes due to poor antifreeze qualities or just bad grounding or age so get under the dash board and keep ya misses warm :wack:
  20. if you look at the back of the engine there are 2hoses one is inlet to heater matrix one is a return hose, what you need to do is close the loop so remove both hoses and find a hose that wil go from one pipe to the other therefor no water will reach matrix but just go back to the engine itself if that makes sense, just need to find a sturdy piece of hose or copper pipe that will go from one to another causing a loop! :) those cold mornings from now on lol
  21. couple of pics of when i did it used the halfords paint kit, although there are brembos fitted now!! top tip yo need to do about 3coats as it doesnt cover proplery 1st 2nd time after the first layer adhedes it then starts to come together i remember spending a fair few hours doing it,then sanding down the lettering, dont use a large brush use an artists fine tip brush time consuming but much better finish IMO
  22. underneath the throttle body hardpipes there is a pipe connected disconect hose and feel down it,if a boost upgrade has been used you will find a boost jet in either hose
  23. do a search but the apexi has been tested for the best filtration id recomend apexi :)

theres a chace the cluster itself is up the creek oil pressure gauge wont work as the lead from the sender has been chopped off :smash: put a request in wanted section for a set of new clocks UK spec if poss,as i think you cluster is more likely to be at fault,at least check the plugs to the back of the clocks theres 4 in total so might be worth checking them  greg
  25. as sarge says its as important to replace the pcv hoses along with valves as the hoses become hard and crack easy so as soon as you get hoses replace aswell!glad it cured your smoke problem as most zeds with smoke issues 1/10 pcv valve replacement wont make a differance so lucky you, blowing the dipstick is a good sign of poor venting
