  5. most 300s idle high whilst warming up due to IAA unit and should rest around 700-1000rpm is normal which yours does fuel smell now the weather is getting cooler fuel smells are more apparent check all hoses&clamps are tight as more often than not over years they can perish check tighten and replace if nes! as for slugish startups again this can be normal, but check all connections and clean if you look through the links page at the top there are many things you can try to pep your z up,she probably just needs a little tune which will include oil and filter spark plugs and a general clean up of injectors coilpacks etc greg

mt 90 is a good oil but TBH if your box is fine use the recomended oil redline mt-90 is mainly used as mark says for cars suffering from syncro wear!iv used it and it works but id only use it if gears are suffering from wear IMO

  18. when you say leak i take it you mean at the rear [main seal] if its the crank seal at the front sprocket is a lot easier remove rad, covers pulley wheel and crank sprocket replace seal!
  19. best thing to use kev is an air gun,but you can use an oil specific to cleaning air filters but there is aprocess you dont just pour oil on to it as for splash guards if you use your initiative you can make one that will discard water getting on filter if it happens again leave in the airing cupboard over night :)
