trouble luanching!!??
not to many revs keep it just below spool up so when you acclerate your not on full boost hold the handbrake on whilst holding revs, dont do this for to long in an auto, not good in the long run if you have a manual as soon as the backend starts to step out change gear, chances are your at 5-6k rpm so should be at boost for next gear change if you still have problems fit racelogic TC steve [cybernet sell it in the traders section, some decent tyres and decent road surface helps

Some mistake surely?
1st thing to check is the label on the seatbelts it will state year of manufacturer if they have been removed look in the rear light covers in the boot says the year on them my car was a series 2 had the later velour seats and directional air con/heater seatbelts on the rear qtrs etc,the ptu was a series 1,even though they call it a series 2 ptu i dont think they were fitted as standard until series 3 or 4

HICAS Eliminator
almost true yes you may still have worn arms but some people find it better with out the hicas, check and replace if nes any worn bushes rod ends etc then go from there,i find without hicas when i get the backend out i need to think to get it back straight! rather than just centralise the steering wheel, horses for courses
