  1. no can of worms mate, you have hit the nail on the head
  2. the pipes to the throttles sit to close IMO,and on more than 1 occassion have broken the rim of the throttle bodies, just my opinion they look pretty, but not purposeful
  3. passenger downpipe of the turbo is the precat so if you fit a full decat systym then that will do away with it
  4. intake and intercooler pipes  not to taxing on the brain is it yas he has the oem ones fitted :)
  5. the fact is when cats are removed backpressure changes and adds strain to already weak seals so id say it does play a factor in premature seal failure
  6. last 2 cars we have had in have had failed turbo seals within a couple of days of decats fiited,so if you can afford new turbos then go for it alot of people have decatted and had no probs, luck of the draw,15year old turbos are taking there strain,as with other parts greg

  10. yes there are cats just after the downpipes, off the turbo!you can replace the section from the downpipe where the cats are,or replace the downpipe with a complete decat systym there are no legal mot requirements on the 300zx before 1996 IIRC as there is no co2 figures stated for the 300zx so you can decat and still pass the mot fine greg
