Bhp
considering the stock crank pulley weighs in at around 11lbs an underdrive pulley weighs in at around 3-4lbs bit of a saving, and should free up the revs, also the fact there slightly smaller and using smaller belts, this is turn means slightly less rotation on the ancilaries, waterpump, power steering etc avoid cheap undedrive pulleys these are not balanced correctly and over years, probably dont do the bearings any good, best on the market is the unorthodox pulleys these are tested and IMO are the best on the market for the z32

De-cats on e-bay
obviously you leave them disconected as they have no place on decat downpipes

heres an example of why you must use antifreeze!
there you go see, with decent levels of coolant through-out the cars life,it saves the engine rusting inside-out ;)

Loss Of Power Wont Start
simple test,if the ptu turns out good, check the fuel,by pulling the hose of the fuel filter, place removed hose over a cup and get someone to turn it over,if you dont get fuel then go from there relay/pump/ecu etc

heres an example of why you must use antifreeze!
heres why coolant is so vital in the longetivity of your engine, pic of waterpump shows heavy deposits of rust and muck that accumilated, the car in question, kept overheating obviously there was no waterleak,so only way was to strip it down, almost all water channels were clogged in the block and in turn buckled the heads aswell ,so just because you dont have a leak, does not mean your z wont overheat, use antifreeze :headvswal ;) Excuse the pic quality, camera phone :o greg

Has anyone ever gone against a Porsche 944
nothing wrong with the suspension but 15years of wear and little service makes a 1500kg car feel vague brakes, well at the time they were fine and were fairly forward, being 4pot fronts and discs on the rear, again age takes its toll and calliper piston seals perish causing dirt to enter, causing seized and poor operating brakes, and nissan did not ask for people to up from the standard power output! autobox, yes in its day worked very well, unfortuntly again age comes in to it,poor service and oil changes, imported cars with the lack of oil cooler and driven on british roads for years with no care an atention,oh and again more power put through a tired box than it was asked to do,so under engineered bahhhhhh

-
Smokey Joe!
yep 1st of all remove balance bar and check in side plenum for oil deposits normally heavy oil shows poor venting next remove valves as shown in above link, check for operation by pressing valve in,if it sticks in the open position and does not retuen, they need replacing, they may even be stuck open,so again replace, also the problem is the hoses become hard and become brittle so worth replacing them at the same time greg

Anyone owned an Evo 4 or 5?
yep they drink fuel and have small tanks for weight saving etc,so you think your s13 is thirsty, having said that the evo4 onwards is an allrounder, performance, handling, practical with 4doors,and not bad to look at,if i had the money id buy one ;)

Compression test
yes you need a compression tester kit,you firstly need to get car up to temp, then remove all s.plugs, coil packs etc, remove fuel pump fuse, make sure you have a good strong battery, then screwing the compression tester in each cylinder where the plug goes and turning the car over write down the results of each cylinder from 1-6 a healthy figure for a TT will be in the region of 140-150 psi per cyl any less and its indicating wear

couple of probs with new zed
i would get the clutch looked at,the stock clutch is not up to the job,if you are running any additional boost,it will kill the plate very quickly the material just aint up to it,rps sport is a great clutch and good value, not to heavy either, and you wont need to replace the clutch for a long time get the flywheel checked/skimmed whilst your there

Smokey Joe!
hi steve if you did a search you may of found PCV positive crankcase ventilation you have a valve either side of the plenum, with a hose coming from it,what commonly happens is the valve sticks and rather than recirculating over time will cause oil to blow back in to the intake thus entering the cycle, check both valves for operation, and replace relevant hoses,if there in the closed position and stuck it may well cause oil to pressurize and force out of the dipstick or though gaskets and seals http://www.ttzd.com/tech/pcvtech.html

Got a producer
50% of them are still tossers im afraid  do what i do mate,if they follow you pull over imeadiatly dont let them pull you, trying to make you feel uneasy :headvswal arseholes, funny how they can spend 20mins following someone in a car causing no harm to anybody!yet an old lady is probably being mugged or beaten to death 2mins away:rant: grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
