Flooded
If the starter is whining, it sounds like it's not engaging with the ring gear, so surely it won't be cranking the engine and fueling the cylinders  Can you smell petrol from under the bonnet? I flooded my Zed recently and the petrol smell was very obvious.

Shocking......
All that you can do yourself, is to drive carefully, be aware of your surroundings and pray that some other idiot doesn't cause you to be involved in an accident. If you're old enough to have kids who drive, just keep on nagging them to do the same. I know that I do. That video should be shown on British television at peak time, it may make someone think twice before they risk their own lives, their passenger's lives and some poor innocent's life.

meet last night
Yep, I'll second that - a bit chilly alright. My first meet since buying the Zed, it was good to put faces to names. Maybe the next meet could be held on a sunny day :D

Non start (another one)
The pipe on the TPS seemed ok, the idle is now back to normal - after a short run and a good ten minutes idling without stalling. :D Thanks for everyone's input.

Non start (another one)
Hi, thanks for the reply, Surely, the ECU should store the required information in it's memory? The car does have an alarm/immobiliser but for the life of me, I haven't been able to figure out what it does and when it does it. :o:D

Non start (another one)
Ah Ha, all she needed was the threat of me and my inadequate toolbox  Started up, may have been flooded right enough but idle is all over the place. Will idle between 900 and 700 RPM, then drops, catches again and stalls  Any ideas, she runs fine on the road.

Non start (another one)
Thanks, I'll give that a try. I've found out the shortcomings of my toolbox, no Allen key the correct size to remove the coil brackets. :o A trip up to the shops is in order.

Non start (another one)
Hi all, The Zed was running ok last week, I unfortunately left the interior light on and flattened the battery :slap: Recharged it, (off car), went to start up and she wouldn't fire up. Cranking well and trying to fire up but never actually getting there. There is a strong smell of petrol, so I think that I may have flooded her. Given that weather conditions up here are pretty cold and damp, am I best removing all the plugs and drying them out or hoping that they will dry out themselves in situ? Thanks in advance

Thank You
As the title says, "Thank You" Tonight, I just fixed my inoperative Drivers window. :D Thanks to this huge database of help and information, I was able to remove my door card (eventually), remove and re-solder the window module connections and get my window working. It would have been a lot harder without all the information available on this forum, so thanks to all who contributed to the relevant articles. Now, I've only to buy new door card clips and I'll get the whole lot back together again. Next item on the list - Headlight washers are inop. :(

I haven't got round to taking any of them off yet, maybe in the next couple of days if the weather doesn't get too cold. :)

Correct tyre size for my Zed?
Okay guys, thanks for that. Now can someone hazard a guess at what make of wheels they are? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=45157&stc=1&d=1227465986

Correct tyre size for my Zed?
Hi Guys n' Gals, Now, I only bought the Zed last weekend and today was only the second real chance to look around it in the daylight. Front tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1s - 245/40ZR18 Rear tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1s - 275/35ZR18 Is that combination ok for the car? There's no problem, it drives fine, I just want to ensure that I'm running with the correct size tyre and wheels. Having said that, I did notice a rubbing noise from the front when using hard lock to reverse into my drive today  Advice would be most welcome - Thank you.
