  1. if i was you mate i would have the wheel holes opened out my 1mm, wobble bolts are an engineering bodge and IMHO they are asking for trouble on high powered cars
  2. Ive finished doing the brake pipes on the front and have started the rears, and pretty soon i want to get the power out of it. ivbe got 550cc injectors, 10.5x8.5x5.5 intercoolers ( core size), will be order a turbo back exhaust in a couple of weeks and have an hks filter. Now can anyone tell me the max power standard manual turbos can take, im really hoping to get 500 bhp ( bragging rights mainly :scooter:) or as close as possible. cheers
  3. yeah get your self a good sized ball pein hammer mate, and as your welding the sections, beat them with the ball side to shape them. the heat from the welding makes the panels more pliable
  4. hahahaha mate thats a bloody cracker, thats fair cheered me up !
  5. bloody hell, ive not seen that for a while, and from what i remember it was all the scum that used to drink it round here ! ( im not saying you are mate so please dont take it that way !) It was very cheap at the time
  6. the proper tools help a bunch too. We can only help you so far mate, and we could all be completeyl wrong and it could be something mega stupid and easy, or dead engine. its not fair on you so i stick by my statement :)
  7. i thin a trip to see a proper mechanic would be the best bet, right now trying to diagnose over the internet is all just best guess
  8. we are not talking about water wetter, we are talking about waterless coolant, which has a boiling point of about 180 degrees c, and a freezing point of like minus 20 IIRC
  9. ive got spanner fingers, so even when covered in oil ( which is most of the time !) i can still rev it no problem :D
  10. sorry mate, the turbo may have a slight leak, but its def not blown. Ive actually had to pour the oil out of an intercooler after running with ablown turbo
  11. thats an average aount of residue mate, if it was ablown turbo, the amount of oil in the pipes would be very noticeable
  12. it doesnt freeze untill way below zero, according to wheelers dealers anyway :)
  13. have the car running parked on the one spot for a wee while, see if any oil leaks out
  14. are there any oil leaks at all, becuase that a HELL of alot of oil to burn in such a short period of time.
  15. ive heard the newer mercs have started using it, but that was just internet not first hand experience. I cant see manufacturers using it, would add alot of expense to their budget ! yeah it was bloody hilarious, thats like fiat slagging the 300zx and that their coupe turbo beats it in all tests !
  16. proper lol at that report. A report done on it by a competeing product, yeah thats believable !
  17. i dont thin you will gain any bhp, but as a coolant you cant go wrong
  18. there si oxygen on the water though, and your theory about stuff under the water is way off, otherwise the titanic would be pristine, whereas its nothing more than a rusted heap, the slightest touch and it crumbles
  19. it still doesnt stop corrosion, it only slows it down. In an older car the waterless stuff would definately help stopping the cooling system from degrading from internal corrosion
  20. its in glasgow mate, hope to pick it up tomrrow :)
  21. if i had the spare cash, i would have done it sooner :)
  22. Thought it was about time i did it. 61H558669W3168935. thats the paypal transaction id
  23. but water still corrodes everything, waterless stuff doesnt
  24. not me personally, guy i worked with had it in his m5 though. He used it for a year, then drained it, and the coolant was still the same colour as it went in other than that no other info
