  8. :p i could do it myself, but ive been away from the wife for 4 weeks, and dont wanna spend a day working on the car, id get my ear chewed for that :smash:
  9. i know this is kinda the wrong section, but this is more to do with repairs than anything else. Has anyone in the central belt done a heater matrix replacement ? ive just ordered a primera one and will be looking at doing it in a fortnights time when im back up for a few days, and was wondering if anyone would care to help me, compensation will be provided of course :duffer:
  10. the pcd is 114.3, not 14.3 :smash: do you have access to a lathe to make your own spacers mate ?
  11. not difficult to fit mate, 2 nuts and one bolt, but when fitting them, dont tighten them up till the car is on the ground unsupported, as this puts strain on them from what ive been reading :headvswal
  12. if i recall correctly ;) the rear hicas is like a steering rack, and has ball joints at either side, and when they get worn it cuases problems. get a NA rear end, will do away with the hicas and give you better acceleration, im doing that along with a manwell swap
  13. those locking bars are only any use of you replace the ball joints iirc
  14. ahhh, gotch, that will teach me to skim :mac1: again check ebay, there are usually bits on there ;)
  15. 2fast2cool on ebay do the uprated turbo elbow and downpipe/decats for 140 quid :)
  16. seems a bit high compare to mine, it runs at half way, never goes any higher no matter what the driving style :p
  17. looks like the kaminari one i think
  18. soldering in a socket, that allows the chips to be removed and swapped without having to solder and resolder time and time again :) Any decent electronics repair shop can do it for you if you dont wanna send your ecu off :smash:
  19. Andy P or john dixon from here can do that for you :)
  20. get the matrix from a P10 primera, bout 70 quid brand new and only requires a small bit of modding to get it to fit :)
  21. COst of the car+ shipping ( around 400 i think, its been a while :wack:) + 27.5% vat and duty when it enters the country, 38 quid regsitration fee for the V5, then cost of the conversion for mot(100 quid or ther abouts) then the actual mot :) Things start getting more expensive if you bring in one thats less than 10 YO :headvswal
  22. buy a very cheap runaround, in the curretn situation cars are going for 200 quid :x:
  23. no i work with T6 mate most of the time, some CF panels and the likes. I have done some stell work in my own personal projects though. And as for the stress crack, i dont think that would be too much of a prob mate, you have all that junk in the front to take the whack for you
