  1. excellent, il go buy one form the local guy just now then :) realy need to replace the matix and get the targa leak fixed aswell, its never easy is it :headvswal
  2. Due to a burst heater matrix im after one for those little electric heaters. Has anyone used them before and are they any good ? links to one that you have personal experience of would be handy because the car is bloody freezing !!!
  3. Really ? Im very surprised mate, me and a few people i know have used them for a few years now, and had nothing but top notch service. Even just calling them and getting a qoute cant hurt, then it will at least give you a benchmark price that a tuner will charge :)
  4. your just around the corner from the Garage mate, go see them
  5. tried a few different things, not quite like the above list though :hurl: crocodile is quite nice actually ;)
  6. trust worthy i take it ? im slowly collecting parts, the next thing on the list is the chip and injectors, however i wanted to fit 550's for peoce of mind but its for a manwel only
  7. :xxx: sorry little tired and not exactly on the ball ! :slap: http://www.300zx.org.uk/ecu_maps.htm
  8. Was just doing a search on google and found this lot, has anyone used them or know if they are any good ? thanks
  9. yeah :smash: mine was broken when we were doing the gearbox so had to nab hers :duffer:
  10. Hi mate, girl just sent me a text telling me you were asking for the Garages phone number. here is a link to the site if it helps :) http://www.the-garage.co.uk/aboutus.php
  11. I didnt say i was the helpful one, i said i helped out, are you trying to say you wouldnt like to know where to get things cheaper ? especially in the current economic climate ? As for allowing people to buy and sell, if it didnt happen here id imagine they would find elsewhere. Im not taking this personal, im simply trying to get my point across, and i didnt expect anyone to go out to their garage and do anything for me tonight, i posted it up because i was online and i remebered about it. if someone didt reply it weas no great loss, as said i can do it myself, but not till net week i was trying to save a little time. And i offered to make brackets for people for nothing, thus saving people money and helping out, and im not subscribed, so being subscribed meansa nothing other than helping to pay for the running of the site. And i wouldnt mind helping out, but right now my last contract ended just before xmas, and my next one isnt for another month, so that 20 quid is better kept for other things IMO. As its been said, posts dont convey emotions or anytihg else, so i apologise if my posts seemed stroppy etc, that was not my intention :nono:
  12. The first one i was asking for sizes and got them, but it wasnt a selfish thing, i shared the results so anyone could benefit. Id say i helped a little. The second the person that helped me out was the one that I was supposed to be buying the box from but there was complications so things got delayed, so id say that one was moot. the third, yes i got some help on the bodystyling aspect, and i am grateful, its given my the rough look im going for. and the last one was terrible ! i asked for taxi prices, whe i called the cheapest was 70 quid, and fair enough thats no ones fault, their info was just a little out, and the guy that offered a lift never got back to me. If i find anything out that can benifit anyone on here, i will happily post the results, as the forum i have usually frequented, thats what ive alwsy done on there. And if everyone is so happy to help, why is it im getting told to subscribe, we are on the second page of this thread, and only 1 person has given anything remotely useful.
  13. Did you even read my first post ? i offered to make caliper brackets FOR FREE to anyone that wanted them, if thats not being helpful i dunno what is. As for cost effective, making my own costs alot less than buying them from a company. I come back to see if anything crops up that is useful, but so far ive found it lacking, it seems as though any info is kept close to people's chests. there are a couple of goods points, but nothing remarkable.
  14. Telling me where to buy something, when im asking for dimensions is not helpful, if i need to purchase something im pretty sure i can do an internet search and find it. And as i said, if i got some useful stuff, i would happily pay for a subscription, but untill then i dont see the point
  15. Virtually no striaght answers, ive asked questions and got some degree of help, but most of the time im told buy this or subscribe. and if your not happy about it, dont reply to any of my threads then
  16. I dont have his name mate, but its in one of the stick threads at the top of either 300zx help and advice, or zed related chat, conzult or datascan i think :)
  17. ive done a search but not sure what your getting at mate, can you be a bit more specific please ? thanks
  18. Why ? everytime i ask for info, i get told "buy from one of these companies" and "subscribe", if i got some straight answers once in a while i would happily subscribe, but TBH right now i feel it would be a waste of 20 quid
  19. There is someone in glasgow with the proper software to check your car out, hope you get it fixed because even standard power is exciting in one of these things, gave my dad a go of mine, he put half throttle on, and started fishtailing :slap: He had a big grin after getting out :D
  20. Why pay someone to make something that you can make yourself, out of far superior materials :smash: ( aircraft grade super dural ) Im used to hand fabrication, im an aerostructural engineer :duffer:
  21. Can anyone that has a hub lying around take some measurements for me please. Im about to make up some relocation brakets to use 324mm skyline GTR discs, but my car is not near right now, so could someone let me know the distance between hole centres, and the thickness of the mounting lugs ? Id also happily make some up for others, if you send me a bit of Ally and a SAE :D
  22. umm, distilled is not de-ionized, distilled is actually purer than normal de-ionized water, as distilled removed all components from the water, not just removing the ions
  23. id say about 400 quid for a decent set of the base spec, but at least 500 for the all singing all dancing ones. IM just waiting on my set of base spec being sent to me :nana2:
  24. can the N/A stuff be used to convert an auto TT to manual ? cheers
  25. if your on a budget im sure there are some guys on here with the parts you need, instea of paying ridiculous breaker prices mate. Place an ad in the wanted section and see what comes up :D
