  1. You can work it out easily, amps = watts / voltage, therefore 120 w / 12v = 10 amps etc etc If part of the wiring near a joint is getting hot then look for a bad connection at that point. If a section of wiring is getting hot then assume that wire is too low a rating. A short will normally blow a fuse, but, depending on the fuse, could melt a wire first.
  2. I love driving in the wet, but it's better still with the manual box.
  3. A 20A fuse is enough for approx a 240w amp, running at full wack and assuming it's 100% efficient. Assume it's 66% efficient then it's down to 160w. Depending on what amp you have (and how deaf you now are), then you may have another problem.
  4. Can't believe it's taken so long, Thunderbirds did this in the 60's ! ;)
  5. We need fewer laws not more - this is supposed to be a free country. It's catching up with the US now ...
  6. There is no renew pack, it's something we do for first time subscribers only. (That's mainly why renewal is cheaper). Should you have missed out for some reason the first time, then it can be sent at a later date.
  7. Absolutely true, but I do have a pile of receipts about 2 inches thick !
  8. Lol, don't think mine has had a service in 10 years - it's been continual maintenance.
  9. Blimey, 2001 is a long time ago. You looking for a full service history for a 13-18 year old car ?
  10. Frequent static updates would be easier to do than streaming and much more bandwidth friendly.
  11. Welcome, frying pan to fire ! LOL .... ;)
  12. R32 calipers are probably the same. They can be mated with the larger discs by using offset mounting brackets.
  13. Tis true ! It's quite a stigma owing a Beamer - and after all the bad things I've said about them over the years too ... :o
  14. The team no longer have remote control over the cars like they used to, they can only monitor.
  15. Seems unlikely .... not holding breath ...
  16. Joel, go down to Motoquip in Dunmow, they have a good selection with connections on the correct sides.
  17. It's like a socket with a slot cut out of the side.
  18. LED's don''t generate any heat, but you could use those as a light source for fibre optics.
  19. I have a fondness for the grey/anthracite type colour (never look so dirty either!), so have a think about those.
  20. Yep, Series II started in Aug '92.
  21. Should happen automatically.
  22. Excellent news, bring it round so I can take a look - although not this weekend coming as I'm in the NW.
  23. Yeah, I think you're right, I've seen much nicer. More perk, less droop etc ....
