  1. Ahh, think that may have indirectly been my fault. I refunded £5 becuase you overpaid, the automatic system clearly then disables your account because of the refund. Fixed
  2. You Really mean that ? None at all ? Blanked off ? It certainly will run without as there is a default setting in the ECU for when they fail, but you will run rich pretty much all the time up to about 3500rpm I think.
  3. Looks like it should have expired on the 12th Oct.
  4. There are screw adjusters on the headlight shell.
  5. It could be something as simple as the exhaust hitting the petrol tank. You really need to get underneath to have a proper look and a drive as well though.
  6. Agreed, not an O2 sensor problem. I would focus on ignition circuit issues as mentioned above.
  7. You can get a series II PTU for anything between £85 - £135 depending on 2nd hand/new etc. There may well be error codes that indicate the cause of being in safety (standard) boost, or to be more accurate that prevent it from going to extended boost, but this is by no means guaranteed. Sometimes it comes down to a bit of old fashioned detective work.
  8. You mean the sort of 'stuff' from the top shelf of the Newsagent, or the sort of 'stuff' that gets the RIAA knocking on your door for being an illegal music & video filesharer ?
  9. Yep, that is the reason. Fortunately, I'm feeling trusting and charitable this evening ... don't let me down ...
  10. Most likely it's the Power Transistor Unit (PTU), if it's a series I device they tend to fail when hot.
  11. I think you should die a slow and painful death .... don't make FunkySi and me come round and see you ..... ;)
  12. What's to prevent you replacing all the brake lines with flexible Aeroquip hosing ? Should be easier to install and will never corrode.
  13. Ohhh nice - except the wheels. 450bhp - holy moly - must be like a ground to ground missile ....
  14. That's true but I couldn't afford one when I was at school either.
  15. I had an RD200, a fizzy was too weedy ...
  16. Can't make my mind up ....
  17. My curiosity overcame me and I finally spent 5 mins translating the hex message in your sig. Very good.
  18. Me neither - at least not for nine days ! ;)
  19. I can refund the payment if you want. Presume you don't have a Paypal account with a registered credit card or something which is why the eCheque thing takes forever. You can do a bank transfer which usually only takes a couple of days or post me a cheque but given the current state of the Post Office I reckon that's out of the question right now.
  20. eCheque takes about 9 days. As long as you use the link on the forum then the payment is tied to you.
  21. The only time mine has 'failed' i.e. it involved calling the RAC, was when the autobox packed up. Other than that it was my everyday car for at least 6 years. There have been some niggles like headlight bulbs, minor water leaks but not what you would consider unreliable over the 9 years that I've now owned it.
  22. Your membership number is 001097, which is quite a recent one. Steve does the letters in batches (because of the membership card printing), only he would know where yours is at this time.
  23. Mine is an early-ish K reg j-spec and my cruise is on the steering wheel and I have no airbag. But the rest is the same as yours.
  24. Drop in for a cuppa (or a beer) next time. Doubt whether the fluid would wreck the seals quickly, may be worth going back to DOT 4.1 though. I see people have posted a number of possible causes, you ought to be able to rule a few of them out by watching for movement on the slave cylinder when the pedal is pressed.
