Look for a bad or corroded connection somewhere - start with the connectors on the back of the bulbs.

Master cylinder knackered and/or air being drawn into system I reckon.

I'm not sure whether we can identify the individual that made the post - will have to check. Anyway, if we have 950,000 now then it just means that I haven't had a clear-up recently !

I wanted a 530 but couldn't find one for a decent price. Mine has done 106k and seems fine. Full service history with very little having been done, considering the mileage. I knew someone who had an older 525d and it was only retired at 430k when the ECU expired.

Now that is someone who is really irritating ! James May is nothing like that, in general I think he is brilliant, but there are just some occasions when he winds me up a bit.

Actually, he annoyed me so much in that programme that I couldn't watch it.
