  1. Happy Birthday Dan.
  2. Please don't - it suits my PDA nicely ! ;)
  3. Yep, done that !
  4. Good work. I did all mine and after spending the afternoon lying across the engine the backs of my knees hurt like hell.
  5. Good, so my geeky jokes aren't wasted then ! ;)
  6. Ought to be able to, they should all be a similar standard (just like SNMP - LOL) Dunno.
  7. Because there were very few cars with 16bit ECU's sold. I think they only reason they changed was to go for the newer OBD-II management which was a regulatory requirement/standard. The easy option is to install an 8 bit ECU.
  8. 12psi is fine on standard parts. Dunno about 21 though ...
  9. I can tell you the original spec and manufacturing date etc of your car if you give me the chassis number. A photo of the VIN plate is best.
  10. Yeah, worth a play. I think that it may have a standard OBD-II interface (which also means that ConZult won't work).
  11. I've not seen one before, but I knew that JWT and a few Jap companies do chip them. Not aware of anyone with one in the UK though. The only people I know of in the UK with a 16 bit ECU have replaced them with a chipped 8 bit one.

    http://www.uk-credit-card-center.com/CitiShellCard.html It's only 3%, but that's more than 3p a litre now !
  13. Yep, sounds like cruise control to me
  14. You don't live in a hard water area (at least I don't think you do).
  15. Call Mike Feeney at MJP, he's not far away and will be able to ship Next Day if in stock.
  16. I think in either case there is a max of £1000 penalty, but an option of a £30 fine. For some reason I thought there was a prison sentence involved with false plates, but if it is a simple mistake (I mean it's not like he'd intentionally put someone else's plate on the car), then the straight forward fine seems more likely, or maybe just a verbal *****cking if he was suitably apologetic at the time.
  17. Wales played well - they deserved it.
  18. You mean he had an illegal plate (eg funny font etc) or he was using a plate that did not display the registration mark of the car. The first is a fine, the second is potentially a big deal !
  19. The Natural History Museum will have a heaps of dinosaurs. I really worry about you Northern types, planning a trip to 'that' London nine months in advance ! LOL
  20. This is REAL retro gaming ! http://www.hexatron.com/rogue/
  21. Now that sounds uncomfortably close to a recent episode of Shameless, you sure you weren't doing a bit of uphill gardening at the same time ? :D lol
