Grounding Kits - Do they really help?
Exactly ! Over the years a lot of the connections may have degrade a bit, so you could remove them all and clean them etc, or you could buy some new ones and stick 'em on as well. I did and I don't think it made any difference, but I guess it's a bit like insurance, well, no , assurance I suppose.

OK, cool, that would no no enlarging the carrier holes.

My new R34 brakes
Doesn't that depend on which brakes you have ? R33/R34 are the same, but R34 V-spec are different ? Sure that John Dixon said the bolts are a size larger.

My new R34 brakes
Cool, I only got the front setup. How do the rear discs fit with the funky rear handbrake on the Z ?

R34 brake set up - need mounting bolts for front calipers.

R34 brake set up - need mounting bolts for front calipers.
According to Macca the original lines just bolt on (I have braided s/s jobbies). The rest I'll make up as I go along.

You really do need a manual box ! I have one for sale that could do with the 4th gear synchro replacing, but it's gotta be better than a shagged auto ... ;)

Tyre wear - which lasts longest?
Yep, the importer had put the nastiest, cheapest things he could find on mine when I got it - Marshalls ! IMHO Bridgestones are best, Toyo's are OK but cheaper.
-
Tyre wear - which lasts longest?
Marshalls are dreadful - try something like Proxes (which aren't perfect either) for a dramatic improvement.
-
Tyre wear - which lasts longest?
Options added. Plus have a shufti at this :- http://www.toyo.com.au/tech_info4.html I'm sure with a bit of research on the web, or a wander in the sunshine at lunchtime, we could establish the ratings for each tyre.

Slick magazine feature
Nice car. Quality piece of writing (not) with virtually unreadable text over the colour pictures - what peasants some of these designers are ....

New North London meet
Maybe, maybe not (depends on what the boss says!). How about you come round mine about lunchtime, I sort out your ECU, then you head off to the meet afterwards ?

Highest mileage autobox?
Mine made about 32,000 before it crapped out. Lost all drive.
-
Tyre wear - which lasts longest?
All tyres have a tyre wear rating, bigger number, harder tyre, so there is a scientific answer to this.

I'll probably be at Tatton (weather permitting) but in her 350 rather than mine.

turbo technics tubs
Why do so many aftermarket turbos fail when the OEM ones typically do 70-100,000+ miles ?
