Pukka Mines chips are soldered in and covered in something like Araldite, so no chance of getting then out. Take a look see, just in case. If is not got the sealing goop on it then would be possible to swap the chip but a manual ECU still won't work in an auto car as I believe it has some extra circuitry to talk to the autobox controller.

What are the problems ? There ae a few of us around who may be able to help .

Kewl idea .... Steve, how are you getting your caliper carriers drilled out ? 14mm drills are not that common and probably don't fit in a standard drill with a 1/2" chuck anyway. Is you mate with the engineering shop doing it, or are you buying Chris double McD's & coke again ?

As far as I can work out the ONLY sensible approach is to only buy from companies that discount their fuel (or provide some oter incentive). If, for example, nobody buys from BP because they're 1p per litre more expensive, then they'll have to drop their price to get some customers. Where this falls down is when they al sell at the same price - which seems to be quite common these days.

Bikes I'm OK with, they are a little harder to see and they move v.fast. It does annoy me when they accelerate hard and the lights dazzle you though. That's probably just becuase I'm jealous and not riding mine ...

IMHO driving with the lights on without good reason is a bad thing. In days gone by seeing a car with lights on meant something, these days it usually just means you've got a Saab or a Volvo or you're a pillock !

To be honest I have seen MUCH worse ! People just don't get edgeumacted these days ....

If you're still worried then try a wet test. After that it's a rolling road test. I know of a couple of places around the Essex area, I'll dig out their names if that's close enough for you.
