  1. I could upload it somewhere for you, it's 1.6Gb though !!
  2. You will need to replace it. There is probably a Mines chip available for 555's but it will cost you $$$/£££ !
  3. If you invoice/receipt said 'sold as seen tested and approved' then you're pretty much covered I believe. Obviously the car has to be 'fit for purpose' but he had understood and approved the problems, right ? I'd guess he probably has a mate who is a lawyer who knocked out the letter for a drink.
  4. If he was a member I will probably have his address.
  5. I did this for one of the Pace boxes - dead easy.
  6. Wow - will be here soon. May go out for a play in th Xantia - damn shame it's a stupid Citroen with the handbrake on the front wheels !
  7. Always buy from MJP if possible, especially as he's only 20 mins from me.
  8. Same story here :- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/dorset/4558146.stm
  9. Is it anyone we know, or even a member ?
  10. No, I'm the treasurer. Haven't received it though. Was it sent to the club address ?
  11. It would appear to be Sept '89. No further details in the db though - you sure you got the number exactly right ? The colour is appropriate for that age though.
  12. Tried it the other way round and didn't fit, so guess not.
  13. IIRC main beam relay is under the bonnet, front RH side as you're looking at the engine. Black cover, should be labelled accordingly.
  14. Could probably do that. The Z club provide it as a service to their members.
  15. Write to the DVLA, I had a similar problem and they issued me a 'K' plate instead.
  16. Or the two steel stub/pipes that bolt to the heads - they rust through.
  17. I did, I think the spec is close enough. I used the fully synth Silkolene stuff from Oilman. Cheaper than Redline and effectively same spec.
  18. Tesco in Harlow has just started doing the 99ron stuff.
  19. Oh well, I'm sure we'll manage to have a few beers as well !
  20. Built March '91 Colour: Red Non turbo 2+2 Auto Grey interior
  21. Sorry to hear this Clarkey, don't really know what to say without repeating everybody else here. Make sure you help the rest of your family get through this - they'll be needing you.

Earth and battery negative are not the same thing. You should connect the earth strap from your wrist to something like a metal radiator pipe, tap, or even the earth on a mains socket - many earthing strap kits will have a plug that fits in a mains socket. 23. Anybody ?
  24. I've nothing against Xmas per se, but the big buildup to the anti-climax is what gets me down. Plus I never get around to organsining anything until it's too late .. guess that's my real problem ....
