I did, I think the spec is close enough. I used the fully synth Silkolene stuff from Oilman. Cheaper than Redline and effectively same spec.

Earth and battery negative are not the same thing. You should connect the earth strap from your wrist to something like a metal radiator pipe, tap, or even the earth on a mains socket - many earthing strap kits will have a plug that fits in a mains socket.
