  1. I would have thought that the only problem on a Z engine is the distance down to the spark plug hole - about 10" I think - so if the extension on the end of the Halfords gauge is long enough then you should be fine.
  2. You have to remove the indicator (2 phillips screws) then undo 3 10mm nuts behind the light to remove it. The screw you've been turning is the left/right alignment.
  3. Tomorrow until the 10th Jan ! Hurrah !!

Yes, it is that simple and you should definitely use an earth strap. Make sure you get the chip round the right way !
  5. Politically Correct Seasons Greetings: Christmas Thoughts Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all ... and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "AMERICA" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual preference of the wishee. - DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTABILITY - (By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.)
  6. Tentative plan is to have a Scalextric (and beer) day at my place on 29th Dec. Due to the unfortunate demise of a major stock of Scalextric parts (my mates Mum has donated the contents of her loft to the charity shop without telling him) we are now lacking somewhat in the track supply department. If anybody in the area could lend me some, or even turn up, have a few beers and have a play for the day that would be great. At the moment we have a couple of sets available to us, but given the size of my dining room/lounge it's not gonna be nearly as impressive as was intended. I have the potential for a 35-40' straight, so this could be fun with enough gear ! Let me know. Cheers
  7. It's actually alarmingly easy ! Some cars have security screws which need the heads grinding off, some don't. Easliy replaceable with std metric screws anyway.
  8. Not sure I ever got around to telling them. When I re-insured I just told the new company it was a manual car. If you inform them you've made the change then they would probably require and independent engineers report.
  9. I don't believe there were spec changes, but some internal components were modified after the earlier cars were produced.
  10. ... to watch this until the end, you will see a Z ! http://www.wxpnews.com/rd/rd.cfm?id=051220FA-Sushi
  11. Presumably grey cloth, rather than black leather ??
  12. OK according to the data it was manufactured in December 1989. Colour is AG2 (red) Interior is G - not sure about that It's a 2 seater Manual transmission Twin turbo
  13. Either Andrew or I could probably write a letter, but if Jeff has something setup already then it'd be easy for him to do it. The Z Club (ie Mike Feeney) will also write letters of this type - he did it for me.
  14. I'll try to remember to do it this evening. (unless someone else has one to hand right now)
  15. I can verify the exact month of manufacture, but I don't have my CD with me at the moment.
  16. Holy Kit Kar Batman ! ;)
  17. Nope, when did you send it ? Postage is very slow at the moment.
  18. Anymore for anymore ?
  19. Buying 2nd hand rad caps is never a smart move so always go with a new one. The wording of the ad is a little dubious - "provides better cooling" ... tbh the pressure of the rad cap doesn't have SFA to do with cooling, what it does it allow the car to get a little hotter before it boils over. Ideally what you need is a better rad, that way the water should never get hot enough to boil over.
  20. Erm, do you want a picture or a line by line analysis ? I don't have a back to back dyno test, would be nice if someone could do one though. Reckon Apache is yer man for that, given the setup I did for him.
  21. Someone needs to work out the gear ratios to see what it actually means for revs/speed etc I liked the 350 gearbox, once I'd got used to it, top was especially useful for economical motorway cruising as there are fewer revs per mph than 5th on a 300TT.
