I think the thermostat is 84 deg C, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I've got it wrong.

It's not the spacing it's the diameter that's the problem with the R33 discs, the calipers simply won't fit inside the std wheels.

You're unlikley to get any 'tuning' done there, but it should indicate whether you car is running right.

The tapping could have been a bit of the cambelt de-laminating and touching the cover !

I think they were optional - not 100% though ....

3.1 litres I think, varies slightly between UK/Jap model though due to oil cooler size. It's in the online manual anyway.

My auto box died at about 30K, so mileage is not a guaranteed indicator.

You should really use the pukka Nissan one -they're quite cheap. I also use the Champion ones (C109) from Halfords, which are a similar price.

Boost jets are fine as long as they're setup right. At least with these there's no temptation to fiddle like there is a with a boost controller !
