  1. I don't think so. The only failsafe that I'm aware of is in the ECU and covers stuff like AFM failure.
  2. This can be quite common with turbo cars, mine certainly does it a little. It's probably a little oil and perhaps some unburnt fuel, especially as you have no cats. I wouldn't worry too much unless it's bad, or gets significantly worse quickly.
  3. I don't belive there are that many SE copies around, bound to be some though. However, you may have had one that was the wrong spec for your car - there are quite a few to choose from.
  4. Unlikley, JWT are pretty good usually. You probably need to look for another cause for that problem.
  5. Have indeed - thanks very much and Welcome !
  6. Ohhhh, I so wanted to find a spelling mistake in that .... ;)
  7. Best gadget, TiVo, not sure about other things ....
  8. Holy Moly ! Now that's what I call a 'functional' install ....
  9. How did you pay ? Sometimes the automated PayPal link screws up, and sometimes people send it manually via PayPal which doesn't do the automated bit at all ! And of course if you did it via cheque/bank transfer then I have to do it manually ...
  10. My TT does close to 18mpg around town, but there is town and town. Do you mean sitting in London traffic or a bit of stop/start at traffic lights ? I would have thought an NA would do a little more than that.
  11. My brakes are off a 350Z and they do have shims, so maybe it's something that Nissan eventually decided was a problem worth fixing ...
  12. I think I prefer the black powder coated route.
  13. Best thing to do would be speak to Mike Groves, his company hosts this site.
  14. I'd normally recommend Pipex as a first choice. Useful list here :- http://www.adslguide.org.uk/isps/summarylist.asp
  15. Not as such, but you do have access to your rides page. Would you want a web page ? We do have to consider bandwidth usage as it all costs money.

    I think it's on my site somewhere - can't remember now ...
  18. Each to their own !
  19. Is your car actually broken up now ? Reason I ask is that I was messing around with someones car that had a similar spec and similar problems to yours the other day and I actually got it to run pretty well. Would love to try the same on yours ....
  20. ... who's looking for a new job ? Could be contract or permy. Gaumpless wasters or muppetts need not apply ....
  21. The same filter is used for many cars.
