  2. Yes, several, but not me sadly ! Anyway, was just quoted £460 for a Classic policy - not good enough ....
  3. Just spoofed I expect, just delete.

  5. When tested Optimax always came out best.
  6. To remove the old ones you can burn out the rubber, then hacksaw through the outside (from the inside of the bush) and collapse it in on itself, leaving the rod intact and ready to press in the new one.
  7. Toluene !
  8. Speedos tend to over rather than underead (MOT requirement I think), but no, should not affect ABS, nor Traction Control, if all are the same.
  9. That would enable an extra few degrees of ingition timing. How much is it ? Macca - better get some jerry cans ...
  10. Probably not the best part to get 2nd hand and 10+ years old.
  11. I presume you mean 0.3v and 0.65v ? If so then yes, that's about right, the actual voltage is unimportant, as long as they are swapping above and below 0.5v frequently, like once per second or so.
  12. By grade do you mean oversize ? If that's the case I wouldn't think so becuase I would expect them to be slightly different weights.

    Sorted. Thanks !
  14. I've oftern wondered about that but I think it's more to do with the pads 'chattering' at a very high frequency, having the grease on the back must damp that chatter/vibration down.
  15. Usually copperslip rather than silicon grease, but as long as it has a very high melting point it should be ok. You should also have shims down the back of the pads too. As for binding brakes it's usually down to a sticky piston, a bit of exercise may cure that, or a strip down will be required.

  21. Not nearly as much as it would confuse him ! "Did I say that ?"
  22. What engine is in the Vitara now ? Is it a turbo diesel ? If so you can raise the boost a bit, or get it chipped if it's an HDi engine.
  23. Snake Oil ! (no reference to your previous post!)
  24. Less likely than PTU or an injector/electrical problem though.

When stuck behind people I'm more likely to be heard muttering "Peasant, gutter, NOW !"
