  1. It's usually the top link, it's a kind of sliding bearing thing that just wears out.
  2. There is progress, today the hubs are being modified to match the 350Z calipers, then all have to do is find the time to put it all back together ...
  3. AndyP replied to a post in a topic in Events - UK
Yep, 3rd June is Silverstone - assuming my car is in one piece ....
  4. OK, well Steve deals with all that, I just pay the monthly bill for the card printer.
  5. Not at all, just trying to help direct your thinking.
  6. Right, which explains my point about being stuck at 7psi when the boost controller is off.
  7. The standard Boost Solenoid Control Valves (BSCV) actually enable raised boost given certain circumstances, like water temp is >60 deg C etc, so without those, and assuming that your wastegates are working then you should always max out at 7psi (or thereabouts). These solenoids are disconnected (or should be) when the EBC is installed. This is one of the reasons why the 'safety boost' term is confusing. It's not, it's standard boost and extended boost. Not saying this is your problem, but it does explain some of the symptoms you describe above.
  8. Yep, it's that simple.
  9. Assuming that after you subscribed you PM'd your details to Steve-300zx then you will get your membership pack as soon as the next bunch of cards have been printed. So should be only a couple of weeks.
  10. It would probably be easier if I posted it to you tomorrow morning, you could have it by Thursday morning.
  11. I can probably help you out with an auto ECU.
  12. Yep, should be fine.
  13. Quality of FM transmitters isn't always that good - go for a wired connection if poss. My head unit has a 3.5mm jack socket in the front which is brilliant, if not you can often lash something up with an auxiliary phono socket on the back. Incidentally, the FM transmitters are available separately from gadget shops.
  14. Cheating a little as this is from work. Our bandwidth is actually FAR greater than that, but I think we rate limit individual connections. At home I have 2Mbit SDSL, so all you suckers with only 256kbit-384kbit uploads - dream on ! LOL
  15. Sounds really good if you're on their cable system, (it's very unlikely that you will be). Otherwise, read the T&Cs very carefully to make sure you'll be getting something better than you have now.
  16. It's the same problem with most of the ISPs, unless they own their own infrastructure, like some of the cable companies, then most of them rely on BTs bit of wet string (that is up to 70 years old) for the last mile.
  17. If you ignore the ihype of the ipod and don't follow the other ilemmings there are lots of alternative MP3 players available that give the same of greater storage for less investment. And lots of the USB based ones make it a bit easier to load you're music on too.
  18. Some boost controllers have a boost gauge/meter built-in, so you don't need both. I have a BlitZ SBC-ID and that does, not sure about all the others.
  19. But that doesn't make any difference, as the copper still belongs to BT. If they don't have their act together then you still have poor performance.
  20. My mate had this to say. :- The first thing I would look at is the internal wiring in the house. It sounds daft I know but it can have a huge effect on the line. I would start by removing all the internal wiring and run it on the incoming point only. If this improves the issue you either have a problem with the internal wiring dropping connection speed or interference from an outside source. There is a replacement socket for the main box that can reduce interference from the Xtn wiring. If this fails to improve the line quality the line would need to be changed as it is picking up 'high frequency cross talk interference Any engineer can do this but won't be able to test the line to see if there is any improvement. It's a case of suck it and see!
  21. Jap ones display in celsius.
  22. I can't find any record of your payment. How did you pay ? Bank transfer, or Paypal ?
  23. A very common fault. Replacing the connectors will help as the old ones will be corroded and the spring clips that hold them in place break off.
  24. JWT do two versions of their chip, one for California (they have strange fuel) and federal, ie everywhere else. They do seem to work fine on UK fuel, a quite number of people here use them and probably many more who have bought copies off eBay etc.
  25. Next weekend actually !
