Not so easy when the fuelling is controlled by the ECU. You're really limited to looking for the fault that is causing it to run rich/lean.
  4. Yes, can confirm it has been received. Thanks.
  5. Well after some extreme violence the driveshaft and hub are now separated. One big puller, one can of gas for the blowlamp, one lump hammer and an air impact driver on the puller bolt - easy really ! The spline had rust down the full length and had to be driven all the way out. With lots of cleaning up it will be reusable, I did think for a while that it was bad enough to be scrapped. Now to the difficult bits ....

Reckon you need to double check those 02 sensors too.
  7. I'm sure in the dim and distant past I recollect Eric talking about a Palm version, but it probably got forgotten about due to limited demand (kinda like Palm!). I think the real issue is that it's not written in a language that has an easy port into any of the various pda OS's.

Details are on my website, and yes, I promise you it will be better than a SuperChip ! http://www.300zx.org.uk/ecu_maps.htm

One of mine of course ! ;) 16 psi is a bit high for std injectors and turbos, stick to 14psi and you'll be fine.

Fill the car to the brim, drive till you're nearly out of fuel. Fill to the brim and work out the number of miles you did against the amount of fuel you put in. Fuel gauges are not very accurate ! And yes, I'm certainly one of the people who can provide an alternative chip.

You need to measure fuel consumption accurately if this is to be meaningful. Have you verified whether your O2 sensors are functioning correctly ?
  12. According to the notification I get you chose to pay with an eCheque which for reasons known only to Paypal takes just short of forever. Activation will happen automagically when the cheque is cleared.
  13. Gotta admit, it's looking good.
  14. Even more scary if you do running costs per mile !
  15. So my toes have been fine but my fingers suffered a little. Basically as the final bolt came out and I wiggled the hub assembly free from the suspension I thought it best to prevent it landing on the garage floor and chipping the concrete by putting my hand underneath it ! Won't be doing that again .... Anyway, so far 36 hours of Plus Gas has had no effect and neither does it seem to have seeped into the splines at all. Going to try and find someone with a press ...
  16. Well the the hub, driveshaft and lower suspension arm are now all removed as a single assembly. At least now I can stand it on end and see if I can get some Plus Gas to permeate through the splines. Trouble is it's now a lot more difficult to wallop it with the hammer. Will have to see what the Plus Gas does overnight ....
  17. Payment received. Thanks and welcome !

Well if the fan runs when the chip is installed then it's probably damaged.
  19. I don't don't see any problem with having two boost jest of different sizes, but I do think you are setting your boost too high.
  20. That's UK for a non-cat car, this is in Norway - could be very different ....
  21. Could be a slight change of plan for me. Due to circumstances slightly beyond my control I may be in Karen's 350, unless I can find a larger hammer to fix the 300 .... :(
  22. Trouble is if your auto box is on the way out, this is a damn good way to hurry it along ! Seen it, done it ! :(
  23. Looks like the project is turning out well. Try to drop in for a cuppa when you're here next week.
  24. Mmmmmmm ..... Kylie .....
  25. You can install a std water injection and just add methanol to the water when you feel like it. We did it on an MR2 turbo.
