  1. Do the cables to the speakers need to be changed, also what is 2 way, 3 way and 4 way speakers?
  2. I have replaced my headunit with a new high end Kenwood Unit. Only just found out why my speakers are now not working with it. i.e. they are 4 Bose units with built in Amps. From what I have read it seems best to replace them. I know nothing about speakers. I simply want some good replacement ones, not trying to blow the doors off! Maybe spend up to £100. This is for a 1994 Mk4 Twin Turbo, with two door speakers and two rear boot speakers. Can anyone tell me what sizes I need for front and back and what they would recommend in terms of specification and/or specific models and best place to get them from? Thanks................
  3. All fitments are here http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/fitmentguide.asp
  4. Just bought my 99 spec bumper from Nissan Dealers for £270 + vat which £20 +vat cheaper than the Z Centre
  5. Thanks a lot will get out there now!
  6. I assume I just have to take the carpet up and take off a panel of somekind?
  7. Wanted to see if any upgrade had been done to the car in Japan before buying a new chip. Wanted to do it tonight but as its domp and cold I was hoping someone could tell me the easiest way to get to it? I am slightly confused as when I searched for the information different sites say its in a different location depending on the year?
  8. 1994 Jap import not a single spec of rust
  9. It often sticks when you push the needle on too far. Try lifting it slightly by putting the tips of two teaspoons under the centre of the needle and gently lever it away by pushing down on the spoon handles. If the needle is bent you can normally straighten it by taking it off and warming with a hairdryer, but its unlikely to be this
  10. According to the Bomex wesite they should only be Fibreglass... 2x15 or 3x10 hand laid fiberglass is used to produce Bomex Original Tuning Aero Parts.
  11. Have been looking on the zcentre at side skirts and it is not obvious what make they are. Are they all copies? Are any Bomex? Someone is supposedly selling original Bomex ones on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7913853606 for £275, Anyone now how to tell if they are original? What abot price, are there any cheap places to get sideskirts?
  12. Whats the total cost from Mike Feeney though compared to Nissan? I thought he was £290+ vat for the bumper which is £20 more, the indicators are only £2 cheaper, so that leaves £18 to pick up some mesh. Plus of course I dont have to pay for delivery.
  13. Any idea what the best type & style of mesh to get, and where from? I assume stainless
  14. I know you said I was wasting my time but..... Got a call from the Nissan dealer today (guy I went to school with so supposed to be good price) and gave him the 99 Spec front bumper code 62022-VP125. Best price was £275 + VAT. But does not include Mesh. So thats less than everywhere else by £20 inc VAT? I think you could even get another £5 or so less if buying more than one. So am I missing something? Is it the mesh? Do the other suppliers include this in their prices? Or is it just a couple of £ anyway? PS the indicators are £45 + VAT a pair. So unless anyone has a better idea I think I will go with Nissan.
  15. Thanks for the parts number, I will check them against what Nissan say. Fingers crossed on the price just hope the fact that I apparently went to school the parts guy will get me a better price!
  16. Have made a call to them and waiting for a price, apparently they come already colour coded to the car, if so then this would be a saving not having to get it sprayed.
  17. I am trying to source the best price for a 99 spec front bumper, have phoned a couple of places typically £330 inc VAT. Thought it might be worth trying Nissan? But don't know if I will get very far without a part number. Has anyone ever tried this?

Went to Mongoose which is next to where I live they said they would do the 3" twin pipe cat back for me at £460 inc VAT
  19. Try http://www.cheshireimports.co.uk
  20. This may seen like a stupid question but I have I new UK Double Din CD Radio Cassette that I was going to put in my Z. But now I have the car it only appears to take two single units. Is that correct or can it be modified?
  21. I also have a GTO in addition to the 300zx, if his car is a twin turbo 4wd 4ws model a normal tyre place can do the tracking using the UK car settings
  22. Previously put this at the end of another thread but now realised i should start a new thread... so here goes... Just imported a late 1994 TT. Have been considering what to do to it before putting it on the the road. I have 8 weeks to spare as it wont be 10 years old until then and its not worth doing an SVA for the sake of a few weeks. I have decided to get a 1999 front bumper (best price so far £300) 1999 indicators (best price so far £50). Not sure about side skirts and rear, do people usually bother? Can you get side skirts like the 1999 model? Does it look much better with these as well? Will leave the rear spoiler as it is the later raised type. Also wanted to get a chip from what I have read on the site I am best getting a Jim Wolfe one? (best price so far fitted with jets £340) As for induction is Apexi the best option? (best price so far £120) Finally exhaust, as mongoose is just around the corner from me I called in and they said they would do the 3" twin pipe cat back for me at £460 is that a good price? All the above prices include VAT I would welcome any advice on what to get and where to get the best prices as I want to get all of the bits in the next couple of weeks. PS not sure if it matter to the modifications but its a Auto with 30,000 miles

  24. Just imported myself a late 1994 Twin Turbo and am slightly confused. I see posts about adding an aftermarket boost dial as they are not accurate, but my car does not have one at all on the speedo dial! Is this normal??
