  1. Anyone have an idea of their value? Done a search on ebay and non are the same...
  2. Cleaned with spray brake cleanrand tooth brush. Sprayed mine with red high temperature spray paint, gives a matt red finish. Then spray with high temperature Lacquer. Look like this: http://www.streetneeds.com/uploads/auser/300zxkg2.jpg
  3. So what do you think I should ask for them? Don't want to do a buy it now and put them too low...
  4. Its a long story, but basically whilst waiting to get my car fitted with new bumper etc. I purchased some wheels and tyres. Then saw some others and bought them as well! I got my car back on Saturday and have just tried one set. They are 17 x 8.5 TSW 11 spoke with top rated tyres Avon 235 45 17 front and 255 40 17 at the rear, all are Y rated for 300kmph. They have travelled to Tesco's so have done 10 miles! I am going to try the others I purchased tomorrow to see which I prefer. These TSW's cost me £350 for the wheels and £580 for the tyres, £930. I know I will not get that back, but as they are all still new do you think I would get over£600 if I put them on ebay? I think they look nice, pictures are here: http://www.streetneeds.com/uploads/auser/300zxkg.jpg http://www.streetneeds.com/uploads/auser/300zxkg2.jpg http://www.streetneeds.com/uploads/auser/300zxkg3.jpg If I get the chance I will post pictures of the car with the other wheels for an opinion of which look best. Any opinions would be welcomed.
  5. Yes I bought the 99 bumper and indicators from Nissan, they did me a deal. Just trying to decide if I should put sidelights in Indicator or fogs, new indicators would be easier as they are aready out. It just depends if there is enough room for them.
  6. The original indicators that I have taken out of the original bumper are defininately sidelights anfd indicators combined. Definately an import, purchased it myself from Japan!
  7. Ok will try to either put something in the foglight or new indicator
  8. Are the indicaters normally just indicators then or sidelights and indicaters combined? The ones I have taken out are definately combined. Is mine different being a series 4? Will check if my fogs come on when I turn on sidelights.
  9. This may be a stupid question, but I have just been to the body shop who have fitted my new 99 front bumper to a 1995 import. The old indicators are indicators and sidelights combined, the new ones which go with the 99 bumper are indicators only. My foglights have sayed in place. So as he said to me, "where are your sidelights then" I did not have and answer, I hope one of you do! Thanks.
  10. I know what your thinking, why does he not measure them? Its because the car is in the body shop and I forgot to ask them and I was hoping to buy some other clear side indicators that are not for a 300zx, but I need to be sure they are big enough to cover the holes. If so I am sure I could mod them to fit. Thanks
  11. You are technically not supposed to use trade plates for imports that have not yet been registered. You are allowed to drive them for MOT or SVA or for repairs for these two. I am certain of this because the question was raised at the interview that was held to obtain the trade plates. They said we could have them taken back if we used them for this purpose. Having said that the police seen to be happier if you have them on! Finally if you are using someone elses trade plates you need to say you are an employee. Also you are only allowed to drive to a specific destination for a justified reason. For example if you were taking a vehicle for new tyres to be fitted you should not divert to your mothers for a cup of tea! Sounds crazy but they are the actual rules. There are a number of traders who have been 'riding around' using trade plates who have had them withdrawn.
  12. James do you know if will these fit in the standard holes without modification? What make and model are they listed under?
  13. I am a HR Director for my sins! It seems to me from what you say that you leave year runs from January and your existing employer has pro rata you leave until 29 April as approx 6 days. This being their liability for holiday pay to this point. You should therefore accrue a further 19 days holiday with your new employer. I very much doubt your current employer has done anything morally wrong however, theoretically if a signed document exists approving your 13 days paid annual leave (ie an agreement to pay you) then I suspect they may be liable to pay you under the wages act. Alternatively you could ask your new employer to effectively pay you for the holidays instead of taking them. The new employer and existing employer should have been consulting with you. Are you not in a union? By the way the only part of your contract that is not covered by TUPE is Pension. Hope this helps...
  14. They have restricted access, you have to be a member. Because once you have access there is nothing stopping you placing bids directly to the auctions. As for prices when there is a vehicle you are seriously interested in you can request recent auction history for similar models/mileges/years however there can be a vast difference dependent on grade and mileage in particular. If you give me your email address I could do a couple of screen prints to give you an idea of whats out there this week. (45 being auctioned this week so far)
  15. I cannot beleive you are considering buying without all of the details of vehicle grade (essential), damage history, full spec and pictures/diagrams of any marks/damage to the inside and outside of the vehicle. This is standard practice in Japan. Why this one? There are dozens for sale every week in the Japanese auctions. You can choose the mileage, colour, transmission, model, mileage, auction grade etc. My advice as someone who has purchased dozens of cars direct from Japanese auctions is to decide exactly what you want, and set a budget. Then wait for the right vehicle to come up. I was looking at the auctions tonight, there are some really nice vehicles to choose from.
  16. Just bought a C70 T5 as a second car. Can you tell me more about the Rica Chip? Where do you get it and at what price?
  17. http://www.ttzed.com/products/products_listing.cfm?cat=45&grouping=2&title=Key+Blanks I assume this is where you are getting them from?
  18. Good, I am glad you did not get ripped off, just to put things straight I was not suggesting you had been, just that the black car referred to in the post was overpriced by thousands! But I bet your was not as good as the red one thats being auctioned this week that I described in the previous post. I am tempted to bid on it, but would probably not end up keeping it..... Would post a picture but looks like I need to subscribe first..
  19. There are some really exceptional 2 seater low mileage high grade (excellent condition) cars being auctioned this week in Japan including: A Red 1992 2 seater manual hardtop with only 33,00 miles and a auction grade 4, it also has what appear to be either 17 or 18" V nice 6 spoke alloys in chrome and gold A Silver 1993 2 seater auto T roof with 57,000 miles and auction greade 4, it also has larger nice 5 spoke alloys and a stainless twin entry (on each side) exhaust.
  20. So that should have been £1000 for the car, £250 for transport to Japanese docks, £650 shipping £190 duty, £370 VAT, £50 UK port fees, £140 UK transport TOTAL £2650. So how much did you pay for it?? Should have charged you less than £3500 if they bought it in especially for you.
  21. Unless you have access to all of the Japanese Auctions, which I do, thenI am sorry but you don't really know the score as far as prices availability and condition is concerned. If you think £5500 is a good price then I would hapily get you one with half the mileage for that price, because it's not cheap, beleive me.
  22. Its here http://www.redlineimports.co.uk But that is so expensive especially for the mileage and condition. If you imported that car it would be £1500 less
