  1. sorry m8 you havnt read the above, but I WAS legally parked
  2. now if i had a razo auto gear shifter i would have got away with it
  3. well the blue badge on the window screen USUALLY covers it;)
  4. cheers all for comments, as the night goes im calming down a bit hence the reason i never approached them when they put the ticket on as stated i wasnt parked illegally (i won't go into that) i park there twice a week and never had a problem, and they havn't done me for parking, i waited for ages for a wagon to come round, so i could take a piccy to show it could get round SGT C as a couple have mentioned its a one way street, so i was parked on the correct side, assuming everyone drives to the left lol, in front of me the whole right hand side cars were parked, for 300-400 yards, i'm not one of those who usually harps on about coppers, and they should be out catching burglars etc, as i wouldnt have their job for a gold clock, but two woodentops walking hand in hand, just to issue a £30 fpn, they probably both had their best night in bed this year lol, must have really turned them on, i doubt if im gonna waste me time and like a prat measuring roads and then maybe cause meself all kinds of hassle next time they want a giggle  THANKS AGAIN TO ALL;) ronttuk the spoiler is the one from Lukes GB
  5. the yellow lines were all the way down both sides but i WAS parked legally, cheers for that distance MAC, i think i'll have to go and measure it tomorrow, ALTHOUGH that road is not a junction, just a continuation of a road no i can't prove i didn't move the car after it was ticketed, but unless they measured it, can they??? but i suppose two of them saying the same
  6. ive attched a few photos, after i parked today and after returning to the car, i saw TWO coppers, placing a fixed notice on my car, and it states "in charge of vehicle causing unreasonable obstruction-near corner" as i'd seen them place it on the screen, i stayed clear as pointless argueing the toss, and dropping meself further in it, so i rang me wife to bring the camera down, (by the way ignore the yellow lines, i was in that respect parked legally) luckily AS she arrived with the camera the guy in the blue car parked behind me, so after taking that photo i then told him, and he moved in front, and THEN i asked him for his name and address lol, to confirm from my photos where i was parked, im positive it was ticketed because of the car it was, and the road angel in the window, but imo it's not obstructing the corner, btw its one way street and i was correctly parked to the right, im not arsed about the £30, do i print the photos, and argue it, or am i wasting me time??
  7. 1-the filter is wire mesh so no cost there 2-the fluid is pennies for 2-3 months of extended life and you cant damage the box anymore if your replacing my first post on this forum was about my autobox since then its had some serious driving without a blip (although mine didnt have carbon etc in it) if youve got the cash to swop the box, then go for it, or remove the pan and see EXACTLY whats in there
  8. try dropping the pan on the autobox and then cleaning the mesh filter, it wont cure the breaking up but it MAY cure your non-drive for a short term, as the noise could be transmission fluid starvation, especially as you say its ok for a short while, its worth an hours work if it cures for a bit, while you hunt round for alternative box
  9. been on holiday for two weeks, so had mine fitted while i was away so managed a couple of quick photos today, must say it does make the car (not sure what the pics will show like as i had to reduce quality a lot to upload them)
  10. and whats wrong with fookers
  11. cheers Andyduff, doesnt make me feel as bad for being a lazy scrote and not walking outside lol, i was mauling with me m8s merc yesterday and his is there, and after seeing chunks photo, i thought i was getting them mixed up;)
  12. i guess i should have gone out to look lol, mines in the same place as Chunks and thats deffo not the fusebox
  13. without going out to look, mine is at the back left hand side (looking from front) in front of the fusebox
  14. having recently bought the 19" wheels from chris ive had no problem at all, one street by me has half a dozen speed bumps and i take them at the same speed as i did with the 16" my z sticks to the road better, and not had a twitch from the back yet, the only thing im paranoid about now is kerbing they look the dogs, and fill the arches nicely
  15. theres an outside chance it still could be the pcv valve is blocked or not working, as it can cause a buildup of crank pressure, which would force oil past the rings and guides into the spark plug chamber, the knackered plug will be caused by the oil down there, as i said AN OUTSIDE CHANCE, lets hope your lucky on 100/1 outsiders :(
  16. back to what SHUNTER posted if the car needs an sva test whan landing, then most jap tyres won't pass unless they have "the little squiggle in a small circle" it looks like a lightening flash, and GENERALLY jap tyres have a lower speed rating than uk tyres BUT a lot of imports are now coming with euro spec tyres ive just swopped a set from a pajero for the sva, and straight back after, speed is hardly an issue for a pajero lol
  17. and do they drive anything fast enough to catch you to take the piss lol
  18. first of all i don't live in liverpool, (not far away) and quote from houghtons for my tt £205 fully comp, classic i travel to bolton once a week to last drop village (and thats supposed to be a better part), and we can get into all kind of postcode arguements, you pay?? bolton being the asylum seekers mecca probably doesn't help, AND being part of greater manchester, bumps your insurances right up, so unrealistic yes it is, we can tar any place in the country with myths, ie london and manchester are THE highest crime areas in the country, but as nigelboyd says, cos he has a manchester postcode, is HE an automatic risk?? according to his postcode he is, what a sad world
  19. don't understand the offset in your post m8 as the correct size for the zx is between 35...42
  20. is that the plate dvla gave you?? was just interested as you said it was a 91
  21. lol the tories will say anything to get back in power (as did labour) yes your right there is more restrictions on cars, but you only have to travel on motorways now to see why/what they are trying to do, when was the last time you travelled 100 miles say without hitting a traffic jam, and thats due to the amount of cars on our roads, and thats 'cos a hell of a lot more cars are now on the roads, more families have 2+ cars, under the tories how many people could afford more than one car?? i'm no great labour lover, but after seeing what the tories did to this country, i'm deffo no lover of their policies, ive not actually travelled on the toll motorway yet, but i'm due to go via birmingham soon, and i'd gladly pay the couple of quid to avoid spaghetti junction and an hours wait, as for the tories raising the speed limits, deffo needs doing, but how many stretches of them can we actually reap the benefits?? how many of us have got all kinds of gadgets in the house/car etc? so you just know the goverments are gonna be using it to as i said i'm not sure what the answer is, especially when we have all kinds of strict rules that make it harder to get a jap import car into this country than it is to seek asylum  maybe if we stopped letting so many of those in, who only move here for the benefits and a free car, it would cure our traffic jams a bit, and leave them more cash to reduce fuel, funny thing is, every time the goverment come up with a stricter measure to evict over stayers, the tree hugging do gooders claim discrimination, and its usually the tories who are having a go first, so Trevz if the tories could be believed to keep their word, id be behind you in the polling booth ;)
  22. ?? the tories good for motorists?? In 1993 Britain had the third cheapest fuel in Europe. The Tory Government hiked the tax up to 77% by 1997 - the dearest in Europe its actually down slightly now to 73%, so not a chance on this earth the tories will be good for motorists, they actually brought in a system, summat like escalation, cant remember now what it was called, the tories destroyed the mining industry, so what you may say, but that alone gave the power industries cart blanche to hike fuel bills at THEIR will at the MOMENT petrol/diesel is rising with inflation, i reckon under the tories you can kiss goodbye to owning large engine cars
  23. i am/was a trader m8, the "was" bit is because i packed in the full time lark after illness, but still dabble in imports, they are getting stricter now ie ask every so often for cars in possesion, cars sold, and they arnt to keen on ALL imports, id say if it's just a ploy to get cheap insurance m8, then don't as you could find yourself getting zilch in the case of losing your car :o i agree with willieo, the cheap covers dont do your car any good, especially if you have good paintwork, they tend to flap about on the paint, better getting the custom fitted, and if its parked for some time, put sheets on the bonnet underneath the cover, as i said my jag is in a unit under a cover, and my m8 has a habit of just putting summat down on it as he passes lol so ive got, sheets UNDER the cover
