  1. yes m8 the sump is the one with all the 10mm bolts and once you have it off its a doddle to clean, its metal mesh if theres any sign of wear/holes be better to replace, but otherwise a swill round in some petrol, if you have bits of carbon etc then its bit of the bands breaking up:( if your VERY lucky you may find its just shite have you checked the colour of the auto fluid and smelt it ? ie dark brown and burnt smell aint good news also when you say PLENTY of fluid, you can cause as much damage with to much fluid as not enough
  2. you need to remove the autobox sump, and all will become clear IF your box has a drain plug will make the job easier, otherwise you need to get it in the air to get under properly m8
  3. as above m8 if proper flu not a great deal that can be done apart from time, when i was having me chemo i caught infections REALLY easy and wasnt a great deal that could be done, one tip m8, when going to sleep try and sleep as upright as possible, (no not standing up lol) ie as close to sitting up as is comfortable, helps all the shit that builds up at night and having the spluttering/coughing fits in the mornings;)

  5. dont know but shes a size 16, wears high heels and a blond wig if that helps :nelson: OR to be p.c. HE may also wear them :p
  6. ?? actually no as some of them have a magnetic switch that cuts out the spark/fuel depending which is fitted, yet others just won't turn over as HE SAID his remote start wont start the car but IS turning over, the valet switch just disables the remote start, i have seen them fitted by cowboys that will start the car in gear THEN they would do as you say i have the avital fitted that will if set start the car if temp' drops below 0% or you can start the car every 24 hours etc etc and yes again depending on how wired it WILL start with the bonnet open, similar to having a dvd player in the car that isnt SUPPOSED to work when driving, but an earth wire soon bypasses that what i meant to add above, ie is it the starter motor spinning

  8. daft question is it a manual?? if so you have got it out of gear? also just a thought, your not trying to start it with bonnet up are you? OR the valet switch could be on?
  9. im pretty sure the oil pump on the diff works on temp' ie if you drove round like a pussy all day it SHOULDN'T be needed, once you start hammering it it should become operational, so i GUESS the wire you have is for that?
  10. actually 3/4 size plates are illegal, because the legal size letters WONT fit on them, but there is also the clause about imported cars that have a non standard bumper that are allowed to have them i carry a copy of the below and the actual reg' in my car, although like others in about 3 years never been stopped A concession which will permit some vehicles to continue to display motorcycle size number plates was announced on July 31st 2001 by Minister for Transport John Spellar. This will apply to certain imported cars, mainly from America and the Far East. It follows concerns about the cost of modifying vehicles which are designed for foreign markets and unable to display UK size number plates. Minister for Transport John Spellar. said "The introduction of this concession demonstrates that the Government listens and responds to the concerns of motorists. "We have taken into account the views of enthusiasts, vehicle importers and the police. We have been assured that law enforcement agencies will be able to recognise and record the smaller character size. "We are clear that the cost of modifying some of these vehicles, in particular those which originate from the USA, to take standard size plates would be costly and unfair. We intend therefore to allow them to display motorcycle size number plates

  13. i also think you will find the majority of bikers killed are older who years ago rode old heavy bikes, when they get older and have the income to go straight to a high powered machine they don't realise how much bikes have altered UNTIL it's to late lol have you actually seen the way some of these kids drive their 1.1's without looking at accident reports etc i wouldnt mind betting most youngest involved in accidents are driving saxos/corsas etc driven to the limit hence the insurance companies have already "restricted" them from driving high powered machines by pricing them out of the market until older
  14. cheers chaps:) just goes to prove a LOT of people just bend over and accept the shafting thats without going into the ins and out of whether the photo is accurate, as thats all it is a photo with her car on it and a speed its not as if this road is a busy main road, its a country road, with a house/farm dotted about, and obviously a copper hidded behind a tree :slap:
  15. so after stopping the youngsters buying high powered cars do we then stop shops selling mods to them to increase the bhp? only allow 25+ to buy certain modification mags as the young may be tempted? MOST imports are limited to 112mph, and the first thing most do is remove the limiter, i think if you look in iraq etc now most of our young soldiers are driving tanks and guns that kill (yes with training) but how can what goes on over there be taught? so your ok to shoot to kill, but not drive a high powered car when you get home, oh and you can have the responsibility of owning a house and bringing up kids, but only go to the shops in a milk float  lol imagine the uproar if goverment had thought this one up as law
  16. well after replying to their letter with the photo that we had made EVERY effort to try and suss who was driving, ie the reason i had asked for the photo was to try and identify who was driving but as it was rear facing it was no clearer, i had checked our cards to see if either of us had bought petrol that day, i said i was at a loss if i could help them further, i have now received THIS
  17. glad to hear you understand summat :nelson: thats what the bit i also typed out SHAME SHE DIDN'T TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF IT meant :headvswal
  18. considering some of the comments you see on here "id give me left *****ck for such and such a car" (some would do it for a mod') none would do as she did would you :nelson: saw the chance to marry a wrinkly for millions and millions, dog or not she had a plan and DID it pay off shame she didnt take full adavatage of it
  19. lol plasmas had it :nelson: it wasnt long ago, someone on this forum posted plasma had reached its max' size at 42" they are now up to 60" same old chesnut people have one thing and slate the other without all the info, as ive said many time go into the shop m8, study them all and make your own mind up what is best for YOU!! same way you will never get a unbiased view re tyres/cars etc etc we have 4 plasmas 3 of them hd, BUT i certainly wouldn't be giving MY view of what YOU should buy in YOUR house, you know what you want to spend and what you want it for m8, if its looks and does the job for you buy it ;)
