  1. lol i'll give you one for your foresite m8  but it aint over until the fat lady sings http://www.interauto.co.uk/page.cfm/link=261 and its not new news, as the arse in goverment have been trying since the law courts made them look dicks, and legalised them this news item was from about 6 months ago, and they have been trying everytime they aint got nothing better to do in parliament, be better if they outlawed scummy druggies from being allowed to breathe http://www.v8register.net/subpages/radardetectors4.htm
  2. my jag ive just sold was through houghtons m8 and as a few have mentioned underwitten by chaucer, and it was a 1987 and classic policy and my zx is also though them on a separate policy, classic (so restricted milage) my wifes car is also through them, and half what she was paying before so did i mention HOUGHTONS lol edit--- having just read your other post, i see houghtons is not for you:( http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=354108#post354108
  3. no problem m8;) just how the police like it confuse the shit out of everyone, some police still tell motorists, radar detectors are illegal:( get the local chavs terrorising old dears and neighborhoods and see what their response is then, now i wonder what would happen if i speed down a road and knock over a corner full of the local scum???????
  4. as ive said before the punishment for speeding is far worse than being caught with a laser jammer, worse case scenario, they confiscate it and fine you, speeding 100mph + instant ban/fine and points, i know which id prefer my laser jammer sits under the number plate and is unseen, and no visible signs in the car either, on starting the car it gives two loud beeps to tell you it's active, the alrm guy who fitted it for me has his built in to his number plate, as its the size of the line on the top of a T and black, so TOTALLY unseen, let you decide;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=39021&highlight=jammer
  5. that or a skyline ummmmmmmmm tough call, NOT
  6. hang on i will just have a think about that  ask the audience phone a friend 50/50 and if you ask the skyline forum they will tell you the same= Z  even stevie wonder thinks they look better :)
  7. good idea, but g.o.s.h received over 23 million pound last year, AND need every penny, but (and only my opinion) it would be better if it went to someone who struggles to get help, and the money would be much more appreciated, then again we all could be pissing in the wind lol as scootywill said "whoever wins the raffle will choose which charity to donate the money to" wherever it goes, it will be gratefully received, and pat on the back lads;)
  8. if you like sport/horse racing its ok m8 not to taxing on the old brain lol its a bit like a newer version of national velvet (shows his age) but ok as its a true story, not an edge of the seat job mind lol
  9. sorry m8, as i said i will learn to read slower in future lol;) as long as everyone gets the message;)
  10. as its something I HAVE experience of m8, SAFETY FIRST, where gas and electric etc is concerned i'm ultra paranoid ive lived in this house (brand new) about 4 years and before that another house for 7 years the house before that my lad who is now 12 was only a baby and LUCKILY i got up in the middle of the night to make him a bottle and we could smell smoke, couldn't see anything until i walked up the stairs and the whole of the ceilings were full of smoke quickly getting the kids up, got them and us outside with what we were wearing, i then went back to see what was going on, couldn't see anything until i opened a cupboard where the central heating was, THE MINUTE i opened that door, flames lept out, and within minutes our house was gone, and everything that was in it, as this was january all the kids presents went, learnt a big lesson, as no insurance, BUT it turned out it was the fault of the council employed CORGI service engineer, who put an oversized fuse in the plug, and failed to service it properly so we did manage to get everything replaced after sueing them but i swore never to live in a council house again, never to be without insurance, and to make sure for safety reasons EVERYTHING in our house was 100% safe, lol come to our house, if all the sensors etc we have installed went off at once, we would get locked up under the noise abatment laws, and most important never rely on someone else for my familys safety:(
  11. i think you need to go back and read my post m8 me saying "i think you'll find Shunter was giving everyone a wake up call," sort of gives it away, and me also saying that to NM that i didnt agree with him that 6 monthly checks wern't needed as as i don't drink ive no excuse for reading what i wrote correctly
  12. probably right with neons and music but large exit exhausts do serve a purpose, especially on turbos
  13. not sure i understood any of that? so 30 people a year die of carbon monoxide per year, (though id dispute that and say more) ONE IS TO MANY recently in our town two teenagers died, and the girl was pregnant:( i think you'll find Shunter was giving everyone a wake up call, so were you saying don't bother with six monthly checks cos only 30 people die?? yep more people die on roads, but ive never seen anyone die in their own bed in their car:( and as Shunter had a gas leak, it could have wiped out a whole street taxis have to have tests every six months, and i spend lots more time in my house than i do in a taxi and as they say a corgi aint just for christmas but all year round :nelson:
  14. personally not seen that one m8 have a read here, worth an hour or two studying, i did AFTER i bought me crap one, and its all users so read what they say about each telly http://www.avforums.com/
  15. been in the news lately and she got sentenced today http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=3807834 THEN the very next item on the news was that a lancashire council, have taken out a £500,000 loan to refurbish a town hall, with interest repayments £750,000 AND wallpaper is costing £500 per roll  some arse should be in the next cell to the above woman:( (blackpool town hall it was, shit they must be using the same paper as blackpool tower)
  16. as i said you get what you pay for, my 42" panny is in the bedroom and i certainly wouldnt put up with any kind of poor quality picture hence the changes until we found this, with the others i was forever changing the settings to match football, then summat else, or rgb on the sky set the panasonic up and not had to touch it once and as for lasting 2-3 years i think its another myth on average a plasma SHOULD last 20,000 to 30,000 hours. After this time the plasma screen will only be at around half the original brightness. If you used your plasma screen for 5 hours a day every day it would last over 10 years, so 7-8 hours per day is 7-8 years and if you watch it anymore than that your in prison  how many on here have a tv 10 years or older?? deffo not the same life as a rear projection or normal tv but i'll worry about that when i buy the next one;) theres loads of do's, do nots between lcd and plasmas ie plasmas are better viewed from anywhere, lcd are better static etc etc this aint very scientific but heres pictures of both telly's with text on the screen, and the difference from the two photos is the same as when your watching, (maybe some distortion in the background as i had to reduce them both to fit on here) (the one with travel on is the techwood)
  17. been out and no rain today, and was ok for about 10 mins' so i assume when the auto choke kicked off is when it started playing up deffo was getting that problem znut, hopefully cured that now would a knackered maf give me those syptoms? or would it do it from start up? got a set of plugs to go in, so will check the connections when they're being done, i would say its something electrical or a plug breaking down, just need to source it:(
  18. lgs/samsugs/daewoos etc etc i wouldn't bother m8, hang out for the panosonic/pioneers etc i bought a 42" daewoo, then swopped it for an lg, then a techwood (which is either a rebadged lg or samsung), so eventually got a panasonic, and the difference is amazing, still got the techwood (nice 3 year warrentry so will be falling of summat soon lol) anyone want to buy it can have it for a grand, the resolution on the panasonic is soooooooooo much better, so id say save for the better makes;)
  19. it does say in the advert, the ones which go with the car are the single picture
  20. cheers for that m8 deffo aint a "slight" stuttering am off out in a bit so will see how it runs but im pretty sure it will be ok, as im only running round local i deffo have had dampness in the air filter, as rain was getting through me after market headlight panel, hopefully cured that now?
  21. cheers for that m8 gonna get the plugs changed so will check all i can see
  22. no not gareth gates :p yesterday i noticed a stuttering after flooring it, so checked the apexi filter to make sure it wasn't getting damp, had it idling and it was purring like a good 'un, driving normal no problems, been out on the motorway tonight and first off it was great, then as i was doing over a ton, i took me foot off the gas, and it started stuttering and jumping, floored it again and it seemed ok (ish) went to where i was going left the car for 1/2 hour and driving back it was deffo better, but still that stuttering when taking the foot off so would be grateful for some pointers where to look first it actually felt like fuel starvation the way it stuttered, (plenty in/optimax) would a plug/s breaking down cause it, just seemed funny it was when easing off the gas btw its a tt import, dump valves, delimited, not sure any of that helps but.... thanks in advance;) just to add as i pulled of the motorway and stopped at the lights it was lumpy as hell, and stalled, but then started ok, i reckon i will go to it tomorrow and it will be ok, until i get it "warmed" up on the motorway so not sure if thats relevant?
  23. really sorry Dave:( had a few people i care about go, but not a child, and im not sure what it would do, but some good advice about a dangerouse illness;) spot on Bigalz, for years kids have been given vaccines with as far as i know NO known proven side effects, yet suddenly people are jumping on the band wagon to say their kids won't have them, ok if it doesn't effect anyone else, but i would be mighty pissed if any of my kids caught something from them, that WAS preventable:(
  24. yes they do m8, but more like 50k, again thats supposing they have been nursed and serviced PROPERLY, my m8 has one, and it was heavier on juice than my 5.3 jag, it's quite funny to see him poodling about now when before he used to drive like stevie wonder, ie blind to everything :nelson:
  25. yep dog deffo works our paperboy is so shit scared he leaves the paper on the mat, so she went to the shop and asked him to stick it through the letter box, at the end of the day our Akita is good, but she would never get her teeth through a letter box lol, so what does the little sod do, knocks on the door at 7-30am i guess he's getting his own back lol heres a classic "i blame the parents" but its true, my youngest is 12, and we always know where he is, and im pretty sure he doesn't got up to what some shits do, he knows better what would happen if anyone knocked on our the door, but i doubt some drug taking beer swilling "parents" give a shit what they do, if they get taken inton care or prison when theyre old enough, less hassle for them:(
