no its deffo more than that m8:( starts perfectly, some days it will run no problem until it gets at high speed on the motorway, then last few days stuttering/missing quicker than usual all signs of the ptu, but tried swopping that, had new turbo pipes/plugs/earthing kit, after fitting the pipes and earthing kit, it ran well for a couple of days but we also had the battery disconnected for a while so an ecu reset could have done that, im going to try resetting the ecu again tomorrow, hopefully it will be stuttering before, otherwise it won't prove anything :confused:

i had someone put a computer on last night m8 and all it showed up was "weak or slow lambda sensor" so trying those next, (bought a new one from sell forum)

yes checked those m8:) not a speck of corossion or muck deffo something like that, a matter of hunting it down

sorry m8 i wasnt hinting it was the ptu no i will keep it, tried setting the ecu a few times after different bits but didnt bother this time, didnt think i would have to as it was a straight part replacement, i'll get there in the end lol;)

:(:( bought and fitted a ptu from a member and it's actually worse stuttering/missing/back firing, so o2 sensors next put my own ptu back on and its deffo better

:rolleyes: not only jap mileage/history that can be messed with some british service history is not worth the paper it's written on how many people actually check history BEFORE they buy? easy to see where the TS get the idea that all people who make copies of cds etc are drug dealers/criminals and terrorists

just a warning for anyone who gets one of these LUCKILY i didn't send anything, because in paypal history its still showing as uncleared so 16th today and i received this on the 7th i think helen mcarthur will finish her round the world trip before this cheque clears :rolleyes:

ok read a few posts and it seems the car will run like a bag of crap so HOPEFULLY it could be my problem, as it comes and goes how much are the o2 sensors?

lol thanks for quick reply m8 its just before i carried on i wanted to make sure it goes back to the stuttering, had a m8 put his computer on my z and it showed everything to be spot on apart from "slow" lambda (lol) which he said could cause overfuelling would this cause my stuttering problems? i put a replacement ptu on yesterday which didnt cure it:(

excuse my ignorance does the TT have a lamber sensor?

i only use verbs or riteks m8, no problems here but my writers are all nec's now, as you say probably pc world shite:(

what media and what writer are you using m8? PERSONALLY i don't like nero for dvds, record now max is spot on could be loads of reasons, cheap discs? firmware in your writer etc etc

as Mike says they are lenient to a degree, takes into account people in hospital etc, might be worth trying to blag them m8, if your car is staying off the road then sorn it online, and if there is a comments box, state you have tried telephoning and still heard nothing, or ring to sorn and say the same if you intend retaxing then do it before you change any details, otherwise it will just bring it to light, retax and hope for the best

someone is telling you porkies m8 when i first got my zx i got a quote from them, but decided i could buy a refinery for the amount they quoted, so went to houghtons for the price of 4 tanks of fuel:)

the filter was one of my first thoughts m8 as i also had vents in the headlight spoiler and heavy rain was deffo getting in sealed those to see if that was my problem, but, deffo looking like ptu if you have vents m8? water will be a pita

hopefully m8, engine is superb, so annoying when i go out and not sure if im gonna get whiplash lol, will post results here when i know, otherwise this could be a long thread :cry:

well the happy bunny didn't last long lol just had to be brought home by the AA, flying down the m6 and got the stutter back, but this time instead of letting of my foot and it going away, it stuttered to a halt, and wouldnt start straight away then when i got it going did the same again, so rang the AA to get me home (whoosh only waited 20 mins) so hopefully the ptu, i say hopefully as im waiting for one to arrive

i assume your keeping the car in france but want to register it in england to get round the headlight swop and various rules that france have? if it's anything like spain you will only be able to keep it registered for approx 6 months, my mates dad has just took a pajero across and is having to do a bit of work to mot it etc in spain, britain is the same after so long you have to conform to uk specs, so as jock says i doubt it's worth it OR legal
