more than likely yes, generally the power light flashing is an iffy/knackered delimiter, i would deffo remove it and see if it cures all your problems in one go

yes m8 ddr will be fine, it was probably sd ram you were trying and as you say out of older machine, generally samsung or kingston is good memory the cheaper memory tends to overheat, and then you'll start getting errors or pc rebooting etc etc, again as you say loads on ebay, but best not trying 2nd hand, otherwise try someone like novatech, (touch wood) all the memory ive bought from them has been spot on:) sorry m8 forgot to say, i assume your processor is a celeron?? if so i would stick to pc100 ddr, otherwise if you went for higher your board may only run at 100, so a waste really;) (but if not a great deal of price difference it wont hurt to go for 133, lol hope that hasnt confused you)

i THINK the max memory you can install m8 is 1 gig so best looking for 2 512's of branded ddr memory should pick them up pretty cheap

you need to find out what memory youve got m8?? ie sd ram (older) has two slots, ddr has one slot also you need to know the bus speed etc and the max speed your board will take, price of memory now pete your probably better buying two good sticks of branded;)

if water is getting in m8, its hard to tell until you remove the filter then you will see water inside, as Sgt C says it may not be the problem but worth unbolting a few nuts to check the cheap options first, again as Homebrew says its more likely to be the seal where the front of the headlight panel joins the bumper as its directly above the apexi etc, so try sealing that or some kind of cover ABOVE the apexi and underneath the headlight panel

as Homebrew says m8, take it off and dry it, as it stays damp for days, i had the same problem, i sealed the headlight panel and ive now got twin apexis pointing UPWARDS, and touch wood problem solved:)

if its the soldered delimiter m8? its behind your speedo, i saw a post recently with a couple of photos maybe worth disconnecting it and see if your problem goes, if so sounds like a dodgy delimiter, once you have the speedo out its only a 15 minute job

now your asking lol, i only know as when i was looking for a source for the sat nav, and used the speed pulse from the speed delimiter it worked perfectly BUT hicas light came on and steering went heavy if you disconnect the speedo, it also does the same, so sounds like you have an intermittent speedo problem, dodgy wiring? have you a delimiter fitted?? could be this playing up
