How is the floor? Check the subframe bolting positions for corrosion, it's quite easy to take the back off of the base, to see if anything has failed, sometimes also the mounting bracket for the subframe can snap near the bolts and cause the subframe to drop, I had that problem on one of my subframes.

Sounds like ptu , when hot they break down and cause a miss or extreme no start at all, I have a spare you could try if you like
