  1. As far as we know it's stock. Uk spec , 130k mile roughly. We tracked it at keevil a couple of weeks ago and now I has a nastily tick (more of a tick then a knock) we wanted to illiminate holed piston etc and got them results, I'm concerned it's rod -piston bearing? Engine idles fine and revs fine just ticky, changed the oil and used some engine flush but it's still there, Its a shame because it went really well!!
  2. Warm and dry, meaning up to engine temp and no oil added to cylinders
  3. We have done a compression check on our track z since it started to tick like mad, got these results 1-172psi 2- 200psi 3-172psi 4-200psi 5-178psi 6-198psi Those readings seem high, we triple check with the same results, doesn't the passenger side bank seem high?
  4. nice post, do you mind if i copy that and take it to the show tomorrow?
  5. boooooo spoilsport! im not bringing the yellow peril as it sounds like a diesel :(
  6. Niiiice!!!! Ours are gonna look great parked next to each other if we can :)
  7. im ready for this, been cleaning the z for the last few hours!! i will be with z32bolt, a mate in his 35z, and meeting yampiedog at the tescos
  8. Nice! They look like airport seats
  9. How much do you sell these mbc's for then?
  10. Basically + from zero on your gauge is psi - from zero is in inHg which is a measurement of vacuum, vacuum is not measured in psi but can be converted from inHg into psi for comparison
  11. You can use the na pedel box on your tt clutch, and you can use a tt pedal box and booster on a na, the only thing you need to do is use an additional 1 way vacuum valve when you T into the brake booster vacuum to stop the clutch bleeding vacuum away from the brakes, the rest of the vacuum chambers etc is redundant so not required.
  12. As an update, we didn't use the os giken in the end, lucky really as I have found there fitment guide and according to it I would have had to shorten the input shaft sleeve by 4 mm. It would have obstructed the movement of the plates otherwise.
  13. From what I have read s/s tech gives a saving of approx 5% (8%) in city conditions, that's quite a lot considering how much our ladies drink
  14. All the start stop cars I have been in restart the car when the clutch is pressed, activated by neutral selection and car at a standstill.
  15. Thank you, I am not considering fitting it, but just wanted the topic covered as it hasn't been before. I'm a great believer that you shouldn't by a 300zx for fuel economy, just thought it would be a good topic to talk about
  16. I know about the key, well done for your observations so a gold star rewarded to the pair of you, The same answer could be applied to abs , traction control etc, but my question was, how hard would it be to retro fit start stop technology (not using the key!) to a z, Discuss............
  17. How hard do you reckon it would be to fit this feature, the car has enough sensors to be tapped into etc, are there any DIY versions out there
  18. It's just we have 1 chance only to get this right, Thanks mark
  19. Does the gearbox have to be modified to fit this, as in the sleeve the release bearing slides on , does it need shortening? This is VERY urgent as I have to have the car up and running by morning
  20. Ring fallen off and your tank is nearly empty, the latter being the more expensive to fix!
  21. Um my auto came with dump valves when I bought it , you can hear them it does it on lift off.tbh I'm in two minds about them but it does help with the boy racers when they sit on my ass and I accelerate and lift off, then they know to piss off cause they don't have a chance lol
  22. In other words your damned if you do and your damned if you don't!
  23. The other half hasn't put a buying filter on your pc? Stop you spending money on your z
  24. Do a BBQ meet in the forest, that's good, also a treasure hunt meet but that's a lot of organization An airfield track sessions, club meet only not general public this end of the country as everything is up north!
