  2. Well I'm about all this weekend, working on cars etc.
  3. When are you free?
  4. Pop down to Bournemouth, I'm sure myself and Steve (z32bolt) would be happy to show you around our cars :-)
  5. UPDATE :-( no luck still no oil flow to the lifters, we are now stripping off the head! We have only driven this once in anger lol
  6. A double entrendre he used to work in a lab but also likes lab.. Well you get the idea lol
  7. If it does not work we will swap the head as you have advised, thank you for your help :-)
  8. Thanks jeff, we really suspect its the galley that feeds the lifters with the check valve in it as the intake camshaft is still recieving oil to the pulley and flowing it through the cam, we have poured some paraffin down the bolt hole too the check valve to let it soak to see if any sludge will dissolve overnight , we have poured oil over the cam shafts on that side to help lubricate the cams too while we turn it over to check flow, we will report back tomorrow if it has worked in unsiezing the valve. If it does work we will drain the oil straight away and fill with fresh to get rid of the paraffin.
  9. Nobody :-( jeff,jimmer,mark...... Anybody ?
  10. Now from what I can see the oil is pumped through the block up past the second head bolt ( intake camshaft front so second bolt in) through the head to the lifters, we have no oil being pumped up trough the bolt hole as we took it out to see.
  11. sorry i am using my bros computer and posted under his username!!!! its me hellraiser its our car so its relevant anyway lol the manual says there is an orifice check ball in the system.
  12. agree usually a soft faced mallet gets it apart no probs.
  13. there is a check valve in the heads can you access them without removing the heads?? Im wondering if that is blocked on one side?
  14. Can't tell as its oem gauge and there sporadic at the best of times,
  15. Sounds exactly the same problem Phil had :-( must have been a bad batch
  16. Thank you for the offer, I do have 3 pairs of spare heads so have quite a few already lol. I did strip one of my spares as a test, didn't seem to bad a job, just time consuming ;-)
  17. I would be interested in this :-)
  18. It sounds exactly like this We are going to strip out the lifters and clean them all, let's hope it's nothing more sinister as we want to get some more track time in :-)
  19. We are trying to diagnose a loud tick, which got increasingly louder on our track day, Sounds ticky, cammy, not knocky bottom end, We have stripped the rocker covers to get down to the lifters Now what we have found is the side with the high compression, we can move the lifters by hand as if they are moving on the lifter internal spring, the other side is solid we cannot press them down by hand. Does it sound as if the High compression side lifters are draining or is the fault on the other side with the solid feeling lifters????
  20. Is it worth getting hold of Nissan uk head office and point it out, they may even organize it!
