reasonable price for a block hone/rebore
well here is one reply i got for boring the block Thank you for your enquiry regarding the boring of your cylinder block. Cost to you for 6 cyls to 87.5mm or 88mm dia would be £173.52 + V.A.T. We would require the block 7-10 working days to complete the work. and the other reply so far We could hone this block for £69.75 + VAT We could rebore & two stage hone your cylinder block to suit your pistons (which we need when reboring the block to achieve the correct piston to bore clearance) for the sum of £180.00 + VAT. Are these pistons press fit ? If so we can fit them for you for the sum of £78.38 + VAT. what do ya think?

help camera advice
help im stuck as to what to buy for my birthday present. i have narrowed it down to two cameras. Nikon D5000 Sony Alpha a500 now they both have great specs for my buget but i just cannot decide between them. i know there are some quite biased views and avid nikon lovers out there but in all honesty im an enthusiastic novice photographer. anybody have any experience with these two cameras?

seized turbo
thanks jimmer. its not going to be rushed as it will be done a bit at a time due to funding , but i have waited 5 years im sure waiting a little longer isnt going to do any harm LOL. thanks for that little bit of advice i will check that when i take them apart ;) i know some people say "why bother messing around , just go and buy a tt" i say i have had my z for 5 years , i know its quirks. its a part of me and i know it inside and out. this would be the ultimate challenge for me and im not the sort of person that like to be told i can't do something. im always willing to learn if people are there to teach. i don't know a lot but there is always trial and error  way i see it is , i have done ok so far with my z and probably reached the limits of my mods on the na engine before i spend silly money on it to chase little gains. its been fun but possibly the evil of the tt's may just be nibbling my conscience. so back on the topic , i still may be able to salvage this turbo depending what i find when i strip it. currently trawling through the forum looking at stock internal maximum safe HP......... feel like a newbee again !

seized turbo
right perhaps i sould clarify whats going on here. remember guys my cars a non turbo ;) i have never owned a turbo car and my plan is as follows:- i have purchased an engine with the objective to 1. teach myself how to rebuild it inc turbo rebuild if plausible (knowledge building etc) 2. depending on how well i get on with it convert my na to tt (eventually) the engine is a sort of unknown but was smoking when removed its currently sat in my lockup and it still has the turbos on it and i was told it could be just a smoky turbo. when i quickly had a scan over it tonight (removed turbo elbows) i could spin the passenger side ok with no shaft play but the drivers side one was stiff to move but no scraping noises etc. just stiff to turn. im not trusting anything on the engine so will be stripped down clean, worn/broken parts replaced etc just to keep you in the loop. and thanks all so far for all your advice :)
