ok so.. i checked.. got error code 34.. then did it again just to be sure ... 55 :S not sure whats going on but 34 is detonation sensor unit.. how do i go about checking this out ...the engine bay in the zed is very alien to me :P

just been looking at zedworlds site and they seem pretty competent at working on zeds... however living in hampshire the 250 odd mile drive is going to rack up the cost.. just wondering if anyone knows anywhere nearer that could offer the same sort of general check over and fix type work. cheers

true ... when i went to insure my first car (under my mothers name) the company i was with (think it was cis.. cant really remember) came out and checked the car out before covering me.. they did in the end but point im getting at is they can and will try and get out of any payment should you have to claim.

looked at getting a n/a supra ... but as soon as a realised i could insure a Twin turbo zed for the same price.. discussion was closed..

hey, as some of you will have read i picked up my first zed on wednesday, havent really had all to much chance to drive the car since (or even see it in the light!) due to work commitments. however just went for a quick drive this morning and just a few things i was wondering if you guys could tell me to worry about or not (i owned a french car before and EVERYTHING french breaks!).. i noticed a very slight ticking .. only audible with windows down so not to loud. when engine is running.. there is a sort of groany/knocky.. almost slurping sound coming from the top corner of the engine bay .. drivers side. when i stepped out of my car i could feel some serious heat as soon as i opend the door.. is this usual? temp gauge is fine and didnt run lumpy. also on full chat the boost is on the notch just below 7.. although granted dial maybee out being its like 18 years old. cheers all .. otherwise a dream come true driving a zed!

thanks for the warm welcome guys, got home safe and sound with fairly little problems.. was actually quite shocked at the economy of it considering i wasnt hanging around on the motorways,which is always a nice start :D. infact only thing i noticed out of place was that it slightly pulls to the left.. which i hadnt noticed on test drive.. so vibrates a bit over 80.. but will have tracking sorted when i switch wheels

hi all, purchased myself a zed yesterday will be picking it up wednesday its a Z spec twin tubby.. bit scabby in places but just gives me an excuse to get out the house and tinker ;) engine seems pretty sweet so fingers crossed lol.. anyways i live in alton .. so would like to attend some hampshire-ish area meets!
