does anyone have a guide or photos of the det sensor bypass inside the car ecu side.. i have had the resistor for over a week now.. but was going to get a boost controller and gauge.. unfortunately credit crunch has put a stop to that :( cheers

it is the det sensor.. break somewhere between the plug and the ecu.. doesnt have any sound that resembles det so thinking its ok :)

hey all, in the next month or 2 i will be looking to get a boost controller and boost gauge but i have a few questions for you all (as usual) my budget is not huge and i dont really want a funky ass digital thing.. so i would prefer just a simple manual boost controller. are these any good, i dont want huge accuracy just really want to be able to choose low boost/high boost! as for the gauge well.. just something small that does the job. any chance there is anyone out there who is local who has installed these before who would be willing to install for me?.. obviously i will pay them ££! also this i take it will sort out my safety boost issues!

aye im sure you will agree it doesnt sound like that in the flesh! im pleased with it :) and its not to loud on tickover so shouldnt annoy the neighbours to much haha!

just fitted my zigen cat back signle exit exhaust (courtesy of mario [ta!]) sounds brilliant well chuffed :) tho the 18 year old system on it proved a pain in the ass to get off lol!

cheers mate, i did think about it but it was getting dark and didnt wanna disturb u for no reason! gotta do it at the ecu end now... as it seems somewhere between the plug and the ecu is knackerd.. had a look at the pin out diagram and i should be ok with it! if not you got any experience with this side?

then i guess its ecu side ill have to do.. as that was the one i originally did it 2 .. :( .. if you could post a pic/ diagram then that would be great :) hopefully i wont balls this up.. as i really would not like to cut the wrong wire! cheers?!

just checked the 3 options i have one i ruled out straight away. the other options are a murky brown and black one (i assumed was the correct one) or a red white and black one.. assuming this is def not the right one.. so looks like it could be fecked

i have 3 plugs that all look the same behind there lol.. :P

as in .. inside the car i assume.. sorry really am not technically minded.. is there a guide to which wire is which/ colours etc :S cheers

nope, still code 34 :-/ .. now trying other side of plug just incase but.. im not holding my breath :-/

thanks glad u got my drift :P well looks like i have plugged it to the right side then.. got about 15 mins till i can reconect the battery .. then we will see if i get code 55 (fingers crossed)

yeah i can see it was confusing lol.. all im trying to figure out is .. the ends (ecu end and det sensor end) which one goes to the ecu the one with the 2 spades that plug into the other side or the other side which the spades plug into.. urrr if you where looking at a lamp socket for instance.. is it the plug side or the plug socket side? that make it clearer :S? cheers for ecu side advice but i really think that is a bit above my knowledge and i wouldnt want to mess the whole ecu up!

sounds like your talking about spats? from what i have read i believe they are a sort of polystiren (excuse spelling lol) .. could try fitting some off a supra. as you can get after market ones in plastic .. may fit and 100% easier to get a hold of!

hey all just recieved a 1meg resistor from sussex_stu! (cheers mate!) .. have temp plugged it in and disconected battery... hopefully this shud solve my code 34! only thing im a bit worried about is .. no matter how much i looked at the photos in posts/write up of how to do it i couldnt be sure which side is going to the ecu as both mine seem to be going down the back of the engine and both have the same wires! crazy... i have plugged it into the side that i could.. as apposed to the side that plugs in to the other plug (if that makes any sense) as from what i can see that goes into a sort of hose along with the wires from the other plugs.. (im not technically minded really im afraid!) is this the right side? cheers!
