Probably suggests that your car / headlights may have been in an accident, or that the seals are just worn and degraded. They can be taken apart and cleaned, then re-sealed.

Yes, Jap-spec Zeds are generally more expensive to insure than UK TT Zeds....Bizarre, but true. If your car is 10 years old, you can get it insured under a Classic Car Policy, which brings the price down slightly, depending on how many miles you're thinking of covering in the Zed. Congratulations on the purchase of arguably one of the best cars on the road! ;) (Spoken from the heart of another Zed-lover - all other cars are naff! ;) ;) There, that should globally annoy everyone....not discriminatory, me. ;)) Personally, I'm insured with Adrian Flux, as they were the cheapest this year. Next year, when my Zed is then 10 years old, I'll probably go with Firebond. :) Anita.

Aaannnnyway....back to the question... :) Seb - not sure about Supras, as I've never looked for one, but UK TT Zed's are as rare as rocking horse poo. :) It took me nigh on 10 months to find my one, after looking at umpteen sheds. There are many, many poorly looked after examples out there, in respect to Zeds, but only a very few decent cars. Set aside at least 6 months to looking. It's tedious and frustrating, when all you want to do is get out there and drive one (:D) but it's defnitely worth it in the end. :) (Remember, each pearl is formed by an irritating little piece of sand bugging the hell out of the oyster... ;))

Scratch that...it appears to be an issue with the "Default" User, so obviously the registry is corrupt somewhere. If you log off "Default" and enter Windows, it's ok... Anyone know the Registry inside out and what I need to look for?

Well, tried the Safe Restore option, going back to last Friday when it definitely worked...and still the open window icons don't appear on the taskbar... Came up saying that No Changes had been Made.... I'll try a re-load of the .dlls when I go home as my Windows ME CD is there..... Not sure it is a .dll problem, to be honest....but I'll try it. Go out and drive all the cars... Well, not ALL of them, per se...that would take months...but take an Auto Zed, a manual Zed and a Supra out for a spin. See which you get on with the best and go from there. Whatever you chose and both are good cars, with their own following, you're the one that's going to be driving it day in / day out and paying for it.

OK...up till Monday, my flaptop has been working fine, despite having Windows ME loaded on it. Monday afternoon it had a hissy fit about memory, freezes and required rebooting. Since then, depite rebooting many more times and stuff, I can't get open windows to appear as shortcuts on the Taskbar, so have to cold-switch between applications. It has 256mb of memory on version 4.90.3000 of Windows... Any ideas as to what I need to do to get the shortcuts re-appearing, please? Cheers

By your own requirements, the Zed will already by 3 years older than any Supra that you get. IMHO, there is nothing on the road that equals the Zed - not only in terms of speed or whatever, but in looks. Supras are ok...nothing wrong with them, if that floats your boat. Id obviously doesn't mine, or the vast majority of people on here - hence their choice of car. If you're going to go for it, get a Zed! MUCH more fun and looks so much better! :D ;) Repair-wise, if anything on the Zed costs ONLY £500, you're doing well.... ;) Not sure about the Supra. What's your insurance going to be like? The Zed is a grp 20 car...anyone know what the Supra is? Anita.
